is better if you set price along the phone pictures and update if there is any price change

Bought the Dell Streak about four months ago and since then it has been a constat to and fro to the Dell Technical Support (principal problem : the screen will not light up after pressing the on button....you have to take out the battery and press it again to make the Streak switch on).
I have hardly used the telephone.
About a week ago, the screen of the Streak has shattered (so much for Gorilla Glass Corning !) because I had kept it my jean back pocket and was unable to stand the pressure.
Dell Support refuses to take this into guaranty.
I have lost more than 400 euros on this piece of junk.

d phone is just superb.. no problems.. i hv bought my phone 4m out f india bt nly 1 thing i came acroos is that ma phone got locked automatically....
why is it so..?????

I have been using Dell Streak 5 since Dec 2010 and I must say this has exceeded my expectations. It works perfect. Ever since I upgraded to Android 2.2.2 it has been even better. Battery life too improved and I am getting it for more than a day with WIFI-ON. Of course for this you need to root your device and I did it. The only complaint I have against Dell streak is the video and photo quality. It is OK but not great (6/10) for shooting videos or taking pictures. But watching Videos - 9/10 or 10/10 (full screen) it will blow you away. Performance of this device depends on the type of applications you use on it. All the communication and social networking apps work perfect. If it had the dual core processor it would have been nice. Overall performance 9/10. It is really awesome phone. And I hope Samsung Galaxy Note or any other company takes it one step ahead. Waiting anxiously for next Gen phones.

My son loves this phone. He sold his iphone 4 as easily got broken after 2 months use. He had this DS5 phone for 6 months and no problem encountered. He loves browsing using this 5" smartphone. Regret Dell stopped selling this phone. Maybe will just wait for SG Note in Philippines.

just swapped a notebook with this. It took a while to decide between the sg tab 7, would anyone know if the android games from the tab are directly compatible with the streak 5? or is it gonna be an entirely different game downloads for this

I have been using it for 6months.. Great phone.. Only two main problems (1)My phone contact are suddenly erased automatically along with call logs.. The contact takes about 5 minuts to come back after sync with Gmail contact... But unfortunately call logs are gone forever. I dint know y contact and logs get erased auto. (2)the phone hangs a lot especially the dialer.
Please suggest what should I do,,, and does the problem happen with all Streak users.?

Jaczx76, 04 Sep 2011I dropped my Streak less than 12 hoirs after getting it and... morethe screens can be bought off ebay for around $40 and they are not hard to replace will save you loads of money if you repair it yourself i could show you how to help

Check-out the all new Samsung Galaxy Note.
Its the next level to this phone.
This was a good attempt but Samsung has created the Galaxy Note which is truly leading in this category of phone.

nice phone with large screen,but the software hangs a bit, lot of applications goes to "FORCE CLOSE"
overall due to software latency my rating is 5/10
