Hi guys I have been following this forum for a while.My intention was to buy the dell streak but i really wanted a much better spec so i decided to waited for the rumoured Dell Opus. But the way things are going and judging by Dell's handling of the streak, I am not expectant.On the 1st of September, Samsung announced the Samsung Galaxy Note with a 5.3inches screen and all round out of this world specs. I immediately lost interest in the dell streak and immediately made up my mind to get the Note once it is out by the end of the year. So I will say SO LONG DELL STREAK.
A word of advise to Dell : You guys need to get your acts together, atimes I wonder if you guys realise you are in a very competitive smartphone market.

to those concerned about the display breaking: it's very thin glass...of course it will break.
my and dells advice is, do not, under any circumstance drop your streak

The phone is great in it's hardware, but looks like it is assembled by some school hobbiest, as the front covers (for the ear piece and touch hot keys)has come off and I had to use double sided stickers to fix it back...!!

actually i have a dell streak since 2, 2011
its just little big than other smart phones, but its very comfortable. sometimes, it is slow .
hmm im from korea, but i think, korean dell streak is different from american dell. but its same right?
anyway,i think, its good for me :)

dell streal is simply superb gadget.Super like haha..its like havin a mini computer and a cellphone in a pocket. If ur issue is battery,ITS NOT MY ISSUE HAHA--i always put into GSM settings and off other unuse application then there you go--2-3 days battery on the go
One of the things that I love most with these unit: I made it as a wi fi hotspot to my laptop then.Isnt it techy?I just love dell streak 5 HOPE DELL WILL CONTINUE TO MAKE GADEGETS LIKE THIS.

I can video call with skype and yahoo messenger from this dell. It's great.

PDC, 17 Aug 2011Hi, I am planning to dell streak. Please advice if its wise... moreIt has got major design flaw with their screen, not meant for day to day use as a phone. A phone might slip out, that is one of the day to day instance am quoting and there are many more on the list.
I bought one late in April'11, believe me I have payed two times for the screen damage and both the times instrument fell just from a height of 1.5 feet and the screen wasno more, this is the design flaw am referring to.

They linked up most of my contacts. Imagine 2000 contacts need to be de-link individualy. Takes about 1 or 2 days to 100% de-link. After upgrade to Android 2.3, no more linked up problem
