hiepdnt, 04 Jul 2010# Internal memory : 2GB (for system & applications file... moreIt's an SD Card. You can replace it yourself with any high speed SD card. I would recommend a high speed 8GB or 16GB. Speed is more important than space.
Dell probably put a 2GB card because that is the limit for the App Partition of Android. This has been confirmed since the Samsung Galaxy S has 16GB of onboard memory but it has two separate partitions. It has 1 2GB App Partition and a 14GB Data partition.
So no worries, a year from now you can stick a 32GB high speed card when they become the norm.

This device is basically the same as HTC Advantage x7510 except for a higher screen resolution, a capacitive screen, the Android OS, and a higher-pixel camera:
5" screen
16GB built-in disk
microSD card (in addition to built-in storage)
Front and main cameras
My HTC Advantage, without the hardware keyboard, and with an Altec 903 BT headset, is now my primary phone. It is fantastic. I have been waiting for a higher-resolution version of the Advantage from HTC. I still believe it will come.

According to a Dell sales rep, the Streak (most probably) will be available on Dell.com by July 14 and will be running "Froyo" (Android 2.2).

its a widescreen tablet with phone capabilities. not that difficult to grasp the concept you'd think. its not a phone or a restricted tablet.
After a month of ownership, I don't miss my old iphone.
I look forward to Android 2.2 and can be content knowing that it can upgrade to 3.0 as well. where as some smaller screen phones may not.

Dell describes the Streak as both compact and spacious, with a five-inch touchscreen. It will have access to the full suite of Android apps and is billed as a device for gaming, music, connecting with people and even making voice calls.

Everyone calling this a phone, its not, it is simply a tablet, like a small iPad if you understand, do not expect to make calls or you'll be highly dissapointed.

i ve been waiting for this masterpiece to release for almost a year now... this "slate" is here to stay for sure...i wld have loved it more with a screen size of arnd 4 inches.
ANY IDEA IF THIS BEAUTY IS COMING TO INDIA????
and with these specifications i think the features and performance points should touch 9 if not more...

Why would people think they'll be tied down to one carrier? Here in England the Streak is aleady available unlocked direct from Dell and the same will be in the USA. (Watch the video regarding this at http://d8.allthingsd.com/20100602/dell-demo/)
I bought mine through O2, but if I waited a shade under a month, I could have bought it unlocked. So T-Mobile or any other carrier is more than just a possibility.

I don't kno' why this thing is called as a mobile phone, having 5' screen and such high specifications, this must be called as a mini laptop or a palm top...
