its not worth it. i bought mine last year and was told it was the top of the line for the price. the phone was a windows phone not droid and didn't have a lot of apps. good thing about this phone, it has been dropped several times and still worked until last night my son dropped it and now nothing. Its big and bulky and kinda heavy.

I have purchased Dell venue on July 2012 and after 21days its one speaker is not working... so its an appeal "Please think twice to go for DELL"
Moreover no service centre....

Please don't buy dell venue phone , i buy it in march after one month used its start hangs and after that display is total disappear , i give it to service center they replace it after one month and again i start using after 20 days again same problem appears ,again i am waiting for last 20 days .
please don't buy this phone , its totally money waster product .

Have used several android phones, this one is the best. UI is easy quick & simple. Very clear & responsive screen. Nice 8mp cam with flash. Very good solid design and nice to hold. Most importantly it has the fastest internet speed browsing, tethering, streaming. Try it to believe. It doesnt need any update since it is already perfect.

SaurAbh, 20 Aug 2012No doubt Dell Venue...Dell Venue is my 6th android device..... moreI can hear very well during phone calls with my Venue. Also, the dedicated camera button does launch the camera. You have to press and hold it for 3 seconds. Unfortunately, the camera is powered by a CCD with poor light sensitivity, make sure to have good illumination, otherwise the pictures will disappoint you.
Internal memory is very limited, less than 1Gb (a little more than 500Mb to be specific) is unacceptable. Why? Well, Dell decided to use the same memory module to install the ROM and for the internal memory space, a real FAIL.
And, I think this phone is very heavy, compared with similar Androids.
Besides that, the phone does the job with really good image quality.
I can define it as an overpriced entry level phone with some mid range/high end features.

The 1Gb internal memory is shared with the OS (rom), so at the end you have a little more than 500Mb to install apps that cant be moved to SDcard. That also limits the upgrades on those apps, because it starts to run out of internal memory space when the updates increase the apps memory size.
This phone has a really good concept, but Dell ruinned it with a poor amount of internal memory and a below average camera CCD device. It is a fact that the camera in this phone is useless in low light ambients, and the led flash doesnt help much, all this considering its high price.
I can tell because I have the Dell Venue, at least I paid way less than Dell price.
There are other androids with similar specs, but with way better performance, especially better Camera and more internal memory, separated from the ROM.

Great size and weight(my dell xcd35 looks like a baby)

Feather touch face buttons
Cons..
Stock rom is crap..
Sound in earphone is poor
Dedicated camera button do not launch camera
Location of power button not friendly
Dialer not userfriendly.......just hate the way it behaves
No updates from dell.
Overall a great device...as a phone..want a music player get a ipod

hey guys,
report on camera is wrong comnt, 8mp camera in dell venue really worth, all u need to setup the settings and for more clearity, back cover has to be removed or remove the camera protection glass, issue is with protection glass not with camera, i hve already taken many photos also updated for college competition, had good results on my photograph, i am also the profestional potographer.
coming to upgrade,
there is officialupgrades for dell venue,
but there is custom rom which is 2.3, 2.4, cynogen mod, miui, were really good developed roms by xda with fully preinstalled softwares, for the worth of money, there is satisfaction.
Sorry for my bad english, give ur decision on comparing with other mobile brands.
