I bought Dell XCD 35 on December 2010. I would li... moreDamn! that's a really sad story to hear, didn't expect dell to drop to such levels too. but it's the same story with all the brands service centers these days i guess, maximum avoidance of warranty.
However, the mistake you made was going to the dell service center. dell provides a premium advance exchange warranty on the xcd35 and how it's (supposed) to work is they send you a replacement piece when you call and file an RMA and then you return the old piece when you get the new one. not sure if it really is as easy as they promise for the xcd but i know people who've done the same for monitors etc.

Hi Guys,
I bought Dell XCD 35 on December 2010. I would like to tell my experience with the phone :
1. Plastic - Its chipping off from the phone.
2.Battery Backup-Pathetic , even after closing unwanted application.
3. Head-Phones-Produce static sounds
4.Screen & LCD-It got broken few days...god knows how it happened..neither i slept over the phone or it fell from my hand.

I went to Dell Service centre in Noida to get LCD replaced they asked me to pay 6050/- in name of GLOBAL INFONET DISTRIBUTION PVT LTD.
They told they'll get phone replaced not repaired .lol...chienese phone :).
Ratings for customer service(toll free ,sales,service centre) :
Toll Free : Pathetic , no response from their end...dont call on saturday they dont work 24/7.
Sales Store : Sir,pls go to service centre ,we cannot help you in this regard.
Service Centre : Welcome sir, pls pay BLAH BLAH and we'll get it replaced within 7 days....We'll call you when it comes to us...no need to worry we are here for you.....Customer is king ..lol.....(Sales guys working in service centre) :)
I would like to tell all fellas planning to buy this phone : Please evalaute other phone before going for it....else u'll end up paying more to DELL.
If DELL people are reading this , please take a note : "YPU GUYS SUCK BIG TIME"
thank you all for reading this....i have sold this phone to college guy for 11k and he is getting screen replaced.

this is the best phone i have ever used, it has good screen and camera clarity, song quality is ok, battery life is awsome, battery standby is 2 day, if playing music battery life is 1 whole day Now regarding updates soon 2.2 will be available for the handset. therefore the conclusion is that the phone is great to playe and work within this price range. soo folks for it u wont regret buying dell xcd35.

Hey i purchased this fone yesterday..
Im unable to send msgs..
N in the service center number section i cant update the number i used before for airtel !
dunno if the format is different..
it has wait , pause and N buttons extras wen i type the service center number.. pls help someone..

Hi am in a fix..initially i was interested in SE x8 and x10 mini however they have problems in upgrading d android system..htc wildfire seems to b having a lot of problem regarding screen resolution n camera quality..jes wanted to know if xcd35 also has those problems..how is d camera quality sound and android application support in this phone..pls help..ty
