it is possible ok first heat the side edges with a hot air smd soldering iron at 220 degrees then gently pry between them with a Stanley knife. There are 4AAA cells in 1,2V 700mA in series NiMH battery

You have to cut open the battery and resolder new elements inside - I've done that with my 1018 putting bigger capacity elements and everything works fine. Just be very careful with cutting the battery case, because when you glue it back aftewards yo...

No none at all. I was wondering if there was any way of disassembling the battery itself to replace the battery cells? Maybe someone knows how?
