Very sad but like you, I love this phone but in ten years I dread to think what were once called smartphones will have evolved into next, superpower portable devices that would have morphed into the tablet seeing the demise of the laptop with the desktop seeing its final days . From a device which used to be oh so simple and was called a phone.

I bought my T29s on January 26, 2001 and I have used it a lot since. It is still working perfect. Today I had to by a new battery (Clas Ohlson still have batteries for it).
The T29s is a nice little phone with a thick external antenna giving the best connection. It has a few options but I am using the phone only for calls and SMS.
May be I will use my T29s for 10 more years?

I have a the T29s, which is really very rare, i got it for 8,50€ at ebay.

Sigh...my first mobile..i still got it, it turns on but the flap's microphone is gone, lost it somewhere..i used it for 2 years, the longest time i ever used any mobile..now i change every 5-6 months..your first mobile is like your first love, you never forget it..

Today I bought a new standard battery for my T29s. The phone is almost 8 years old and it is still working very well. The time counter shows about 4 500 hours of talking!
It has not been any problems at all!

This is my 4th cellphone, after T10s, T18s, T20s... Hmmm, this is the most elegant phone i've ever had... look gentle, elegant, classy, and stylish for men...

Very light-weight phone ever have by me. It's simplicity. Work very well for 3 years, then get no signal and replaced by N-gage

My second phone very reliable used for 2.5 year and it only saw the technician's tools once and only because i dropped it.

If you just want a good reliable phone (no games, no polyphonic ring tones, no camera, no radio, etc) then this is it. It's tough and very pocketable. I've had mine since 2001, it's in daily use, and as good as ever.
