what i heaered is only a roumer from a special ericsson site. so nothing is sure yet , but i think this is a must if ericsson wanted to be the leader. but what i can advice and im sure about that u can wait till 1Q 2002, for an upgraded version of it, which will has some missing options which are mentioned on the official site, and are not on the latest one , lik:
      Image handling
      Notes
      Photo Album
      Picture Phonebook
      chat
      mms
extra calender( it has only the normal one now)
and to shot a short clip with the cam( but i think t68 has it now:),,
so if u cant wait, u r not a heavy phone user , and u think these options or some of them u dont need, u can go for it now...
its still spuerb, no phone on the market can be compared to it , and mabye for long time, u have to use it, and it will really satisfy u... it has options which u dont even thought about it ...
also for the new stuff u will get most of them later , cuz u can upgarde the software when its available..
one last thing , dont listen to ppl who says its bad phone , the joysteck is bad and the battery is not good , ,,, etc,,
its something percentage, so thats why they give us warnty , so we can change the bad one , with a good new one..
if u like the mobile, and i wanted it , go and buy it... and u will thank me for this:)

to be hounest, i liked this phone from the firt time i saw it on the net, and im one who likes ericsson little bit more than anyphone , but i agree to take other brand if it was good, when i first saw this phone on the market i liked it more, its superb , very hi tech, and it has everything u want and more, but i was little bit disapointed with the color , i expected something better, but its ok after all , just think its the first mobile with color , so its first of its kind, and the nokia is at least 6 months far to be seen on market , so i think 6 months is more than enoagh to make new things, specailly with mobile world..
also it seems that ericsson rushed with this phone to win the market , and as i heard there is a roumer that there is an upgraded version will be released directly after the 7650 , which will has the same missing option which 7650 has , specially the color , but after all, i think the phone is still spuerd, use it and u will know this..

I have been using the Ericsson T68 four weeks now. I started off really liking the phone, it was different in look to most of the other mobiles out at the time and the fact it had a colour screen seemed that it would be work better as a personal organiser with its higher quality screen. The problem is, it does look nice'ish on the web and in the pictures, but when you actually get the phone and use it for a week or so you kind of go off it ( or I did at least ). Its just that the shape kind of irritates you after a while and that silly joystick-button is absolutely awful to use! The buttons (and it seems to have been said already - so its not just my handset) are really tacky/cheap that feel as though they will break after some heavy texting. Its not really customisable beyond the screen-background, so you can't make the phone your own - with no changeable covers (ahhh, the love of nokia). So, after yearning so badly for a Nokia again I exchanged it for the Nokia 8310 and 2 covers. I now have a phone that feels wonderful to touch and is a great fashion product too. The T68's are going to age very quickly I think in terms of look-and-feel. I'm more than happy with my 8310 for several reasons I shall not go into here. If your not a fan of Nokia, then check out some of the other phones that are available, because the T68 is a phone you may regret having bought.

well 6 month ok i still can't tell then. but honestly i now hardly use the joystick cause i always use the keypad which is so much faster. and even in the menu selection i also use keypad cause with 8 lines of text how much more options are there that you can't see?

Hi! I´m from Portugal and I must say that the Ericsson T68 is making rather sucess here dispite it´s cost! But we the portuguese are great critics and the problem with the 70 caracteres when your writing an SMS using T9 it´s destroying the T68!!!!!!!!! I´ve heard from a guy that works in Ericsson here in Portugal that in the year 2002 there´s going to be an upgrade that will "cure" this bug and add some awsome stuff like Chat, Caller photo and the long expected Image Gallery! Have you heard any thing about this in your contrys?

i went to an ericsson service and i asked them how much would it cost me to repair the joystick in the t68 if it happens to break after the 1 year guarantee.its not very expensive it goes around 14000 drachmas or 42 euromoney

Why T68 is not compatible with Nokia? I can't send pictures to any Nokia phones, but I can receive them. This is stupid. If I can send pictures only to other T68 phones, where is the point? How many friends with this phone you have?

have had this phone for 3 weeks now and have begun to regret it. i have noticed that the joystick is showing signs of ware already after some heavy use :( .. buttons are also far too loose and feel as though will break sooner rather than later.. wish i'd have bought the Siemens SL45 now (didnt because it had been out almost a year.. so wanted newer technology!) .. check this phone out in store before buying

very poor quality handset. excellnet featuers. brillant colour dispaly. good menu paths. why can't they use better materails? Simens quality. Nokia menus paths, Ericsson technology, = prefect handset.

I have had my T68 for nearly a week and i think it is excellant. The screen and joystick are brillinat aswell as the GPRS.Haveing a colour photo as a screen saver is just a bit better than the ones on my 3310

I'd just liket to say that this phone is extremely over-rated. It is an excellent phone up to a point, its looks are very nice indeed. But if you spend more than a few days with it you soon realise that everything that made you want it in the first place is incorrect. The colour screen is a "gimmick" and does not add to the phone at all.. there lies the rub, most of the features are not really useful or required. I exchanged the phone shortly before my 14 days were up and replaced it with the Nokia 8310. I adore the RADIO on it.. its very useful, its a feature that will be used.. and do I miss the colour screen and the fragile 'case' of the Ericcson T68.. NO! Compare the two and you'll conclude the same..
