Facebook may soon allow you to post animated GIFs in comments
For Facebook users who are also a fan of GIFs, here's some good news: the social networking service may soon start supporting animated GIFs. To begin with, users would be allowed to post GIFs in comments.
"Everyone loves a good GIF and we know that people want to be able to use them in comments," a Facebook spokesperson said. "So we’re about to start testing the ability to add GIFs to comments and we’ll share more when we can, but for now we repeat that this is just a test."
Initially, the feature will be made available to only a small number of Facebook users, and if the feedback is positive, the functionality will likely be rolled out to all users.

Well, since I left FB 7-8 years ago and I find it completely useless, I see no point it this.
