evasi0n, the first ever iOS 6 untethered jailbreak, goes live

04 February, 2013

The hacking community has been hard at work to crack Apple's defenses in iOS 6 and the A6 chip inside the iPhone 5 ever since their debut last year.

And while the waiting was long, it's now finally over and the jailbreak is publicly available. (Update: It should be available for most people, but we still have reports of users not seeing the download links)

The freshly released evasi0n by evad3rs is the tool that can jailbreak your iPhone, iPod touch, iPad and iPad mini running on iOS 6 and iOS 6.1. The tool is compatible with Linux, Mac OS X and Windows and can be downloaded by following the source link below.

The jailbreaking process should be straightforward and without issues but keep in mind you are at risk of bricking your device if you don't follow instructions to the letter.

such NEVER ending useless FANBOY argue between iPhone and Android. Just DISCOVER both device well! and YOU DECIDE YOURSELF which one's BEST for you. I use iPhone more for gaming. I use Android more for daily productivity use
