Future Android smartphones to embrace the NVIDIA Tegra 2
While announcing NVIDIA's financial report for the first quarter of the year, the company's CEO, Jen-Hsun Huang, unveiled that the upcoming Tegra 2 platform will be used in upcoming Android-powered devices.
Currently, the only phones powered by the Tegra platform are the Microsoft Kin One and Kin Two. But it's the first-gen Tegra. According to NVIDIA's CEO, the second-gen Tegra will be Android-friendly and should come together nicely with the third version of Android (read: by the end of the year).
The new Tegra processor is said to be a serious rival of Apple's A4 platform, which we could taste while reviewing the iPad. As rumors,go, the new iPhone 4G should be based on the A4 platform as well.
Unfortunately, no specific manufacturers were mentioned as possible NVIDIA partners so we'll have to wait a bit for this mystery to be solved. But if we read between the lines correctly, the next Android tablet/netbook will be based on Nvidia Tegra 2 dual core ARM Cortex A9 CPU with 1080p video decoding support. Cool!

As if Crysis can go mobile. If Crytek will make a CryEngine platform specifically for mobile devices we may have Crysis for our phones.
