Galaxy A56, A36 and A26 get TUV Rheinland certification, hinting at imminent release
It is hardly a surprise that Samsung is working on a new generation of Galaxy A phones. As far as we know, the Galaxy A56, A36 and A26 will be unveiled sometime in the middle of March. All three phones were spotted in the TUV Rheinland certification database. Unfortunately, the source isn't particularly rich in information. It does reveal all of the model numbers for each handset. The Galaxy A56 will be available as the SM-A566B/DS, SM-A566B, SM-A566E/DS, and SM-A566E. The Galaxy A36 will carry the model numbers SM-A366B, SM-A336B/DS, SM-A366E, SM-A366E/DS, SM-A366U, SM-A366U1, SM-A366W, SM-S366V, and SM-A3660. The Galaxy A26 will also be known as the SM-A266B/DS, SM-A266B, SM-A266M/DS, and SM-A266M.
The source also reveals that the Galaxy A26 will officially be rated for 25W of fast charging, while the Galaxy A36 and A56 will be capable of 45W.
We already have some bits and pieces of info on the trio of devices. The Galaxy A56, for instance, passed through TENAA, which offered us a glimpse of the design, including a new oval-shaped camera island. From what we have seen, the new trait will also be shared with the other two models. Plus, we believe that the A56 will use the Exynos 1580 chipset and will have a 5,000 mAh battery.
Galaxy A36 renderWe also have some renders and listings for the Galaxy A36. As far as we can guess, it will be equipped with either the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 or the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset. It is rumored to have a 50MP main camera and an updated 12MP selfie. Battery capacity is said to also be 5,000 mAh.
Galaxy A26 renderFinally, we have a lot of alleged info on the Galaxy A26. Apparently, it will be powered by the Exynos 1280 SoC just like its predecessor, but it will have an ever so slightly bigger 6.64" screen, with FHD+ resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate. It should get up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage, while the battery is likely to be unchanged.
