Ro, 04 October 2024

The Samsung Galaxy S10 and Note10 series are far from current models, but many are still rocking them in 2024. First released back in 2019, Samsung hasn't abandoned them and is still pushing updates. However, a recent one caused a huge problem for some users.

Galaxy S10 and Note10 users are reporting bootlooping after an update

The most recent software update for the Galaxy S10 and Note10 phones caused a bootloop issue for many users. There are a growing number of reports on Reddit, and people are trying to investigate the root cause. So far, information is scarce, but it's believed to be related to the SmartThings framework.

Unfortunately, the only workaround is a full factory reset. And since you can't boot into Android, you have to perform a factory reset through the recovery mode.

So far, Samsung hasn't made any official comment on the issue, nor do we know the extent of the problem, but we will likely know more soon enough.
