Galaxy S24 lineup prices remain unchanged, satellite feature confirmed
According to the latest report from a Korean news outlet, Samsung is planning to sell its Galaxy S24 trio at the same prices as its predecessors, the Galaxy S23 lineup. Additionally, a separate report seemingly confirms the emergency satellite texting feature for the S24 series.
We've heard rumors about the latter quite a few times now, but this leaked screenshot will likely clear all doubts. It clearly states that the unnamed Galaxy S24 phone supports emergency texting via satellite connection, just like the latest iPhones and some Huawei phones.
The report suggests all Galaxy S24 phones will support the new emergency feature, no matter the chipset. The Korean tech giant meets the 3GPP standards for such a connection with its Galaxy S24 series, but it remains to be seen whether it will be available to all markets right from the start.
When it comes to pricing, the smartphone maker is reportedly aiming at maintaining prices like last year. That's because it believes it can boost sales in a recovering market, while staying competitive by offering more features at the same or lower price than its competitors.
The goal is to realize 10% more sales than last year by shipping 33 million units in total.
Samsung is able to maintain its prices by using the Exynos 2400 chip for its vanilla and Plus models in some markets, but the Galaxy S24 Ultra is said to be equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 everywhere.

satellite connectivity will become a common feature as the tech improves. it will be wise for samsung to have this feature or lose out to competitors.

No need, every phone manufacturer has the power to implement this feature independently.

They do not mention in the article that there is no Satellite. Qualcomm did not launch the satellite, the scrapped the program. All just a marketing gimmick.
