Galaxy S8 and S8+ Asiana Airlines can be bought with frequent flier miles and cash

Peter, 10 April 2017

Frequent fliers on Asiana Airlines are in for a treat - limited editions of Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. Those are currently on pre-order until April 17, but do note that there are only 2,000 units in the initial batch.

To snag one, you will need to redeem 30,000 miles to get a discount. This promo is a partnership between Asiana and SK Telecom so you’ll also need a subscription. The Galaxy S8+ with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage is also available.

The phones themselves are identical in hardware but come with the Asiana app pre-installed. Let’s face it, if you have 30,000 miles you probably fly with them a lot, so it’s not bloatware. There’s also a custom theme and boot animation, but that’s it.
