Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE (previously known as S7 Lite) listed on the Google Play Console

The ‘Fan Edition’ label may get attached to a new product line at Samsung – the tablet that has been leaking under the name “Galaxy Tab S7 Lite” might actually be called the “Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE”. The name comes from a Google Play Console listing.

It will have the same 10,090 mAh battery (EB-BT975ABY) as the premium Tab S7+ with the same 44W fast charging. Like the S7+, the Fan Edition slate is expected to ship with only a 15W charger. The retail package should include an S Pen, however, which can magnetically snap onto the back of the tablet for easy carrying.

The main difference between the Galaxy Tab S7 FE and its fancier siblings will be the screen and chipset. The FE will feature a 12.4” LCD (2,560 x 1,600 px) rather than an AMOLED panel, there’s no word about the refresh rate yet.

And it will be powered by the Snapdragon 750G instead of an S865, the RAM will have a lower capacity too (the slate that was spotted at Geekbench had 4 GB, but we’ve heard rumors of a 6 GB model as well). The tablet will have a 5G version, a Wi-Fi only version and perhaps an LTE one as well to match the premium S7 tablets, though that last one is less certain.

Other features, which can be seen in the many leaked renders, include stereo speakers and a dual camera on the rear (8+5 MP).

The Galaxy Tab S7 FE announcement should be closing in, but there's no date set for it yet. As for price, it should be lower than the €700 Tab S7, but we don't know by how much.

I guess it does look like the market is ready to make more 7 inch flagships. The next Galaxy Note will probably be something like 7.1 inches. Tablets aren't only just about size, you know. Some people buy tablets because they have no cellu...
