Gc unveils the Connect smartwatch, don't confuse it with Guess Connect

American fashion brand Guess unveiled a pair of smartwatches and now its Swiss arm is doing the same. Gc crafts luxury Swiss watches and that sets its Connect watch apart from Guess’ Connect watch.

That said, the two share a lot of similarities. The design is based on Gc’s Structura series of analog watches. The Connect’s housing is made from 318L stainless steel in Rose Gold or Bronze, available in brushed and polished finishes. They are powered by Android Wear 2.0 running on a Snapdragon Wear 2100 chipset.

The Gc watches will be available for both men and women with a variety of watch straps, including premium options like crocodile leather. The touchscreen is guarded by tough mineral glass.

So far, so similar. The pricing is not known yet, but you can bet it will be more than the Guess-branded models. Still, if it’s below what TAG Heuer and Montblanc are charging...
