S7 edge was 50$ in best buy canada with a two year contracts and free vr and free micro sd card last weekend. Probably best deal ever for a 3 months old flagship phone.

"as low as $229.99" The only price I see is $300 for refurbished model. Are you sure you didn't misspell $299?
