Gionee has proved it again that how poor are these software updates made by their in-capable developers and also their Senior testers. I have a temporary solution for messaging problem:-
1) Open messaging app's settings.
2) Remove all the ticks which are there be-default.
3) Use hangouts as default app.
There it is. You will never have to restart your phone again for every new SMS.
But, sadly if you receive any missed call, the dialer application will automatically and I have found no solution for this crappy thing.
I have made complaint about this software update. I was surprised that they admitted their fault on first call as I have WhatsApp'ed the video's for both messaging and dialer application and they said our team is now working on these issues.

The msg which i not invisible in the inboax, for that u shoul export ur msg and then import them and u will be able to view the unseen msg

ven, 05 Oct 2014Dont buy gionee 5.5 There is many problem Heating brobl... moreThe phone itself has no problem. Its just a compatibility issue with kitkat os update which will be fixed eventually for sure. Even samsung and any other known brands used to have this kind of problem as well.

Many issues are resolved now but these is a new issue in that update that whenever a message come, the phone open the messaging app or the dialer app automatically when you unlock the phone. the only solution is restarting the phone.

Then you will be able to see those smses. As mentioned earlier, all issues I face are due to software bugs and can be lived with. Hardware wise it is a wonderful phone.

Bundle mobile dont wast your time many problems in 5.5 hanging, auto working and many plz dont by gionee 5.5.

Gionee has realesd some update to elifes5.5 .the update is about 296mb.. Go and check it out guys
