Is 720p really worthwhile on a 5 inch mobile screen? I think 480p screen is enough 4 mobiles.
Does more than 480 pixels on mobile make a big difference?

After one month's use, I can safely vouch that the Gionee M2 is a well built handset and I have faced no issues at all. The overall software implementation is good. Battery backup is tremendous. Resolution is quite good. The handset has never hanged or lagged. In fact it is quite fast and network reception has not been an issue at all. The pre-installed UC browser has been fast in loading pages. The handset has remained stable despite continuous browsing of 45 mins or more at a stretch. And the device has never heated up, forget about overheating. Even if I charge it for 2 hrs or more, the handset never heats up at all. The camera is also a good one and produces satisfactory result with some tweakings. I have had no issues with swapping of apps to SD card. Only problem is inability to use the handset as a modem to connect to internet from the laptop. I am still searching for the USB tethering for Android 4.2.2. Swapping data between the handset and laptop is otherwise easy and simple and does not require installation of any software in the laptop. I checked the weight on the electronic scale at my local grocery shop, it showed 190 gm! I have still not managed to get a flip-case for it though. The 5 inch screen has been a great relief for me.

I purchased it yesterday... at 10000 net and a flip cover at 150/- from ajmer Rajasthan...
after using it 1 day i can say that...
(1)Rear Camera is Good.
(2)Front camera is quite good for making video call i made a video call in another state using Google Talk there is no issue.
(3)Speed is Superb as it has Quad Core.
(4)Many per installed apps are so useful like Power Accelerator, DU battery Saver.
(5)Budget phone with super configuration.
(6) who say it is heavy , i claimed it it is not heavy weight is normal.

i purchased it after reviewing it at several sites continuously from its launching 24 Feb.

i felt something that......
i get it at 31 degree temp. i continuously use GPS Maps at 15 minutes then it reached at 42 temp then is was so hot i can't touch body.
i switched off the phone. and restarted ... it was at again 31 degree.
So it is normal when we use heavy apps than it is overloaded.

it is my first android phone of life so i purchased it after making sure about it.
and i am happy.

i request to Gionee to provides it OTA Kitkat updates soon.....

go and buy this phone bcoz gionee the only brand who show on youtube his whole mobile manufacturing division and he made his own cell phone not like micromax or lava or karboan they r outsource in china with chep chines manufacture.. so gionnee is far bateer than any other mobile manufacture so go blind on gionee u never get problem.. and m2 is best of best.. i give 10 out of 9 ... due to weight but 4200 mah battery consume weight so i m happy with this phone go get it...
