It is really excellent mobile
it was 10 days I bought the mobile
the one and only mobile which can give heavy battery backup It's not about 4200 milli ampere hours
It will take 2 days to last The battery I bought micromax canvas 2 plus earlier it lasts whole battery in half day so I decided not to buy any china made mobile for battery backup because apart from battery backup micromax also good at other performance But gionee is unlike other mobiles it's really excellent mobile good software and especially completely indian languages support

Friends, after long search i decide to buy this mobile.but, i have a few questions.Will the handset get Kitkat 4.4.2 update? and, is this receive any update till now? What about service centre in kolkata,westbengal,India?
what are the drawbacks of this phone? plz, give answers. thanks in advance.

sportnix, 18 Mar 2014So when you say 1.9GB for apps , does it mean we cannot ins... morenormally an android apk is not more then 10 -15 mb ; and my friend how many apk u want to install, are u using 100 apk at same time i am not using more than 20 apk and that can also be transffered to sd card ; all big games can be transferred to sd card ; what else u want from a budget device ; in my opinian this is the best smartphone under 15000 by any company

So when you say 1.9GB for apps , does it mean we cannot install any more apps after that limit or , can the phone look at the external card and its internal memory and still install apps which insist on sitting on the internal memory - like banking apps for example ?

agk, 16 Mar 2014today i saw this M2 for the first time and b4 i gonna buy i... moremenu light is not available but its ok, its not rooted, internal memory is 1.9Gb for Apps and 600 mb for storage believe me its very good thinking because it uses your external sd card as interal.... so its also good

Hi guys,
After use this awesome handset for 5 days I can say its awesome..... Good display compared with others same resolution phones like micromax, karbonn and samsung, Its internal memory for apps is approx 1.9Gb and for storage its 600 mb but but but you can directly installl any games to external sd card because its read your external card as phone sd card, you can use OTG cable for charge any usb device as power bank but can not use Pen drives, Camera is also good anough in day light its awesome but in night its ok, you can record 1080p videos.... also can play all heavy games like asphalt 8, modern combat 4 and Iron man 3..... can play 1080p videos in H/W mode without any lagging..... last but not the least Quadrant score is aprox 6000 its above all quad core handsets below 14000/- i.e Micromax a116, karbonn s5 and s5+...... Now about battery it uses 3-4 hrs for full charge and gives almost 2 days backup for modrate uses 3g always on, 1 hrs games play, 3 hrs video playback and much more.... if you are heavy user it can easily give you 24 hrs. backup..... so and buy this MONSTER....

How is the videocall experience? Any issues?.........................................................Has anybody connected pen drive through OTG cable to Gionee M2? Does that work flawlessly(I mean copying, transferring files to pen drive)?
