However there are English versions of google and chrome search you can download and add on as home screens or add on as a widget. Your other option is a download a different launcher app to use besides amigo.

I observe that all numbers saved in my Gmail starting with the country code +234 are not synced with their names. Thus, when a text message comes in from a number saved in that format, the name isn't displayed. What can be done?
Also, the search bar that comes with the phone always displays content I Chinese. This is same with all the default apps that came pre-installed in the phone. Is there any fix for this default language so everything could be in English?

Briefy use APK mirror app site to download
Google account manager 6.01, Google services framework 6.01, Google contact sync 6.01, Google calendar sync, Google play services 10.2.99 version 440, then any recent version Google play store for Android smartphone.

OK for gmail make sure you use ply service architecture for arm64-v8a this is 440 if you check apk mirror. Next you need to grant always allow for permission for read contacts in: contacts sync, contacts, gsf 6.01, google account manager 6.01 and then play service.

Yes it looks like after the update in Amigo OS you can install google play services. There is a problem with news stand, contacts, gmail. It appears that there is a problem recognizing google contact sync. It ceases function when activated. I will check with variants of the 6.01 version. But it may be a bug that needs fixing.

rjk01, 11 Apr 2017The Chinese google installer apk's will not work on Gionee ... morePlease someone should let me know how I can set up my Gmail in GIONEE M2017. Google complains that the phone has security issues and hence access is blocked each time I tried to sign into my Gmail.
Also, if there's any fix for the phone to make it display full features of marshmallow, kindly share with me.

After the system update last night i got Google Play working in my Gionee M2017. Overall the phone is good. But I am still confused about the quality of the camera and real endurance of the 7000 mAh battery!

Hudinited, 02 Apr 2017it must work dude did u try it? The Chinese google installer apk's will not work on Gionee M2017. There is no license or certificate for google mobile services. Thus framework and the other apps will download but not run. Other Chinese phones may accommodate google installer apps or manual download in sequence but not Gionee M2017. You can sign into to web google apps. The only apps that work are translate, contact, photos. Incomplete functioning for maps and news. Any non google apps you download will need to come from third party app stores. In the future rooting is possible and perhaps custom ROM. It is unlikely gionee will prepare a GMS core apk unless it is marketed outside of China.

I really dont see any cool difference between M and M6 PLUS apart from battery and maybe camera.
