M4 phone sucks, notifications are not received from apps which I installed, which is one the vital feature required. This seems to be some type of trick from Gionee, because notifications are workings super fine for pre installed apps. is there any solutions to get it fixed ?

dont update,after update phone,auto restart phone again and again.

If in guarantee (which I suppose it is) then please visit the service centre to clear your doubts or help rectify the same. Kindly be more specific and elucidate the cons you have mentioned for a better understanding of the same. As per my knowledge, your cons may not apply to everybody because it does not matter for me because all my requirements for my usage are being provided by Gionee M4 and I have no complaints. Some people may buy it only for Battery backup, calls, what's up, Internet browsing or listening to music etc and that is well provided by Gionee M4. Please don't give wrong information(which you think is your requirement) and deprive others of buying. Sorry for being so harsh. Please think before penning.

Santosh Goswami, 06 Nov 2015What is the quality of camera in Gionee m4.I fully agree with Rakesh. The Quality of Camera front and rear are superb. The video recording is also superb. It can compete with many other Rs.20,000/- plus smartphones and put them to shame. Only big con that I found is - you can't transfer/move Apps to External SD Card.

Is it physically weak/brittle or is it weak in terms of not functioning well as it is required to do so. Please ensure that all updates given by the company are downloaded to solve your hanging problem. If still it does not help, then please do a factory reset.

Kindly share the problems here because someone or the other may help to solve same. Either return it back through the proper channels you purchased it from or get it serviced. Please don't give a negative remark for the entire lot of Gionee M4 smartphones just because you got a bad piece. Try a factory RESET to see whether it helps resolve your problems. I've got a fantastic piece which is working very well in all departments and I've been using it for exactly 31 days and have no complaints.

I Am user of this phone above 3 monthz. mobile is hanging when open wtsp battery is very gud. it works 24 hours after full charge. flip cover is weak. wifi conction sometime not workzz.

The phone battery is good ,camera good both rear and front .
Cons: 1.the USB otg does not have proper ui, does not have eject option so have high chance of your storage being corrupted.2.
In landscape mode the quick setting swipe is not accessible/does not work ( which is a great class of gionee m 4.
3. There is no separate data option setting for the dual sim.
This is the worst phone I have ever used. Dumb phone..please check out this 3 cons before buying to avoid a big mistake.better never buy gionee m4. This happens even after 200 + MB updates

Vicky, 03 Nov 2015Well Guys i am using this phone for last 3 Months and i wou... moreI bought m4 marathon in July 2015,till now I haven't faced any problems except few hangs,that to because of faulty operation not phones problem.battery very good.performance good.good for average gaming.slight water contact tolerant,but its not waterprof or dustproof,so prevent unnecessary exposure to weather.supports 4G in India,excellent camera in its class,experienced user will feel its good quality image capture(front and back).stereo speakers not provided,use headphones for music and video playback.please use the stock version of Android lollypop,as upgrading might pose some problems( cause phones processor might not be suitable). All above statements are my personal experience from using the phone for last 3 months only......

I had recently updated my Gionee M4 with latest updates that came over the air... But to my surprise the update is not handling well and the phone starts rebooting after every call. My friends tell me that the software was not installed properly. Let me tell you this is a great phone but please be carefull while updating to the new updates

I am using this mobile for the last one mont. This mobile is better than any other mobile . battery backup is awesome . display also very nice . there is slight heating pblm. Camera clarity is super both front and back.
