    ugliest design

      1. Who needs a headphone jack in 2019? Definitely not me. Wireless is the way!
      2. 64GB, 128GB storage is enough for most people. I'm quite happy with 64GB, no need more.
3.RAM management is fixed already unless you're bloody idiot running 11 or more apps at the same time.
      4. Speakers are the best I've ever heard. Uneven bulshit talks about them is for tech geeks who can measure it with special devices. I can't hear anything wrong. But what I clearly hear is horrible speakers quality of Huawei Mate 20 Pro. My old iPhone 4 sounds better than that!
      5. Screen brightness level is excellent. At least on my device.
      6. And I love that notch! No phone have copied it so far. It is a unique signature of the phone and it's completely justified by excellent sound.
      7. Never experienced any single bug from all Pixel series which I owned earlier. No Android overlay runs better and smoother than pure Google Pixel one!
      8. Pixel 3 is still the king of mobile photography, except pretty much useless zoom and wide angle shots of course. Night sight kills competition, Huawei - work harder on it!

No headphone jack, no SD card, poor ram management, uneven speakers, low brightness (424 nits max), massive notch. There really is no reason to pay top dollar for this phone. I'd choose a stable and well-built phone before regular software updates, which usually means you're a glorified bug-tester. Pixel isn't even the camera king anymore! smh

Hi there! Bought the Pixel 3 XL 64GB at a discounted price of $699 ($745 w/tax). I'm coming from a 3-year old Nexus 6P, although I frequently use my mom's S6 and my sister's S8. I can definitely say that this is a great phone with a few downsides. (btw unlike other presumptuous people, I actually purchased this phone, I wish I could attach a receipt to this review).

                    Best parts:
                    Camera: [no explanation needed]
Speakers: Really good sound with increased bass!
                    Display: vibrant! beautiful! bright enough!
                    Useful software features
                    Future-proofed for 3 years
                    Steep discounts at given times
Active edge: as a guy who works part-time in retail, squeeze for assistant is really handy

                    And now those shortcomings :
                    Battery life: not as good as I expected it to be, but fast charging compensates for it;
RAM management: Processes (apps) are killed after using 4-5 apps simultaneously
Notch: Could've been smaller, although I got used to it and can't complain
Software glitches: some minor Bluetooth connectivity issues and usage issues/glitches

                    Verdict:
Now here's when the decision gets a whole lot more complicated. In comparison, the S10+ is generally a much better phone. I was seriously considering it. But then there was the price point... $1000 for a S10+ or $700 for a Pixel 3 XL? Should you invest an extra $300 just for a few more benefits? MY ANSWER: NO! Unless you're some rich brat who can afford anything, I'd say the Pixel 3 XL is a better buy, and you'd realize this when you pay for your own phone. Pixel 3 XL is the perfect point between price and features. This way, I won't have to feel guilty upgrading to a newer device after 2-3 years since I'm not paying $1k.

Hope this helps the average consumers out there!

I've had the Pixel 3 XL. Even after the December update it still kills apps due to memory management issues. When paying premium prices, you expect premium quality. Unfortunately, the Pixel 3 does not come up to scratch. Google think they can compete with Apple by making an iPhone clone but with none of the build quality or usability.

Also, just because you don’t miss the 3.5mm doesn’t mean you should speak for those who do.

I have both Mate 20 Pro and Pixel 3 XL on hands right now and can choose what to keep or even have both of them. See no point to carry two phones though.
Mate 20 Pro just doesn't deliver what promised, too many issues and drawbacks compared to Pixel 3 XL.
Again, I forgot when the last time I used wired headphones and I'm happy to be wired free. So 3.5mm jack is the thing of the past for sure. Suggest that Samsung have it for the last time this year :).
Our information about Pixel 3 is outdated. They've fixed all issues with the latest updates - the thing Huawei seems never bothered with. BT commection is perfect (no drops or anything else), no aggressive RAM management anymore (at least I can't see it with 5-6 apps opened at the same time), camera startup speed fixed, Pixel 3 XL speakers are the best I've ever heard (Mate 20 Pro with their USB-C "drowned" speaker sounds pathetic), brightness is fixed too.
Don't trust reports, rumors and reviews. Get the devise first!

3.5mm jack is not outdated. Plenty of consumers still want it. They hate using dongles or relying on BT connections. Samsung are still rocking it
Pixel 3 XL is still killing apps due to aggressive management and insufficient ram
Reports of camera app taking too long to open
Bottom speaker is louder than the top speaker
Max brightness wasn't fixed. Pixel 3 XL peaks at 405 nits, meanwhile iphone XS Max is 625 nits and Note 9 is 658 nits

Vvvky, 25 Mar 2019Pixel 3 XL only advantage is the main camera but ohh wait i... more1. Who needs 4k 60 fps??? Good quality 1080p 30 fps is more than enough. I mostly make photos anyway.
                                        2. Regarding sound quality, please don't rely on any reviews. Just grad both phones and compare. This is what I did. S9+ has no advantages here whatsoever. Dolby Atmos presence looks like a marketing trick, nothing more. Headphone jack doesn't affect the sound quality at all. Again, don't listen anyone, just try. I use outstanding Xiaomi HiFi USB-C earphones and very good Bluetooth earbuds anyway.
                                        3. Samsung UI isn't appealing and smooth as pure Android one. All my and the most other people's "customizations" come to wallpapers change, nothing more :). Samsungs bloatware and apps duplicates is rather annoying than useful.
                                        4. Pixel 3 XL OLED panel doesn't look inferior to Galaxy S9+ at all. Again, just grab two phones, put them side by side and compare. 3 XL notch is unique. I LOVE IT. And I hate curved screen nonsense. Very stupid, useless idea after all.
                                        5. Galaxy S9+ telephoto lens isn't better than Pixel's 3 High-Res zoom at all. Again, I made comparison by myself and was very surprised with results. Optical zoom supposed to be better than digital one but it's not the case here. Poor S9+. The only better telephoto camera right now is Mate 20 Pro one. I've played with it for the last 2 month. Quite impressed.
                                        6. Can't see or miss any single feature from S9+ which isn't available on Pixel 3. Google's left swipe News Feed and music recognition system is awesome. Miss those things on other phones.
                                        7. Galaxy S series phones are very common in my country and they don't hold the value compared to Pixel phones. That's a big issue for me.
                                        8. I believe that Pixel 3 XL is the better overall phone than S9+. Only brand new S10 could be better I admit. And iPhone Xs of course. No one can beat the last one. That's for sure.
