hey guys, I'm planning to get this phone since it's so cheap now (the 64gb variant).
I'm planning to get a used phone and do you think I should do a factory reset when I got it?
will factory reset helps improve the performance?
and do you think the 64gb is enough? considering photos are stored online

Upgraded a month ago from my trusted Pixel 2 XL which served me well for 2 years. A few subtle improvements with the 3'XL. Was happy but however a couple of days ago tried to use the device for the first time as a sat nav whilst driving as I previously used to do with my 2 XL Somewhat bemused to discover that I simply could not get a GPS fix!! Occasionally it would show me my static position but then I'd get the message GPS signal lost when I drove off. I was actually nearly late for the function I was attending as a result of getting hopelessly lost much to my intense irritation. Have since read online that this is a not uncommon issue with this device. Although when I contacted Google Support they alleged that they've had no complaints which is patently untrue!! Had to reluctantly do a factory reset and still no joy. Having to return it to the retailer I purchased from for a working replacement (hopefully). Have been a loyal Nexus/Pixel owner for a few years but let's see what happens. If similar happens with a replacement then I'll reconsider my future purchases. As far back as 2007 with my Nokia N95 had no GPS issues so it's a VERY poor show by Google for a so called new generation "premium" device.

Firelord Zuko, 31 Dec 2019hello everyone, I was wondering are 64GB storage enough for... moreNot good enough mate, but it depends what you do the most with your phone. If you take a lot of photos, at least 128GB will do.

I'm planning to change my 3yo phone with this since I just found a great deal for around 210$.
what I'm looking for is android updates and taking pictures, I'm no gamer.

If you are the type of person why worries about SAR values then you shouldn't own a mobile phone at all. It has been proved time and time again that mobile phones do not harm the human body. You should worry more about the preservatives and additives that are added to your food, they definitely WILL kill you!

I agree with you 100%. If you are happier with Apple products then go with it, and Good Luck to you. Like you I have been looking for a new phone recently because I am disappointed with the low spec on Google products and was considering buying an Apple 11 PRO but the cost was beyond my reach. £1200 - £1300 was beyond my means so I settled on a Oneplus 7 PRO which was a better choice at £599 (half the cost of the iPhone 11 PRO).

I tried it but feel I made a mistake changing. There are some good features, mainly camera, and perhaps I have been unlucky with call quality issues and a few bugs here and there but Apple was far superior to what I have experienced. I was considering sticking and changing to Sony but decided against! I am glad I made the switch, albeit an expensive one but it made me realise you are better off sticking to what you are happy with. Cheers!

freefaller, 17 Nov 2019@Anonymous I wonder if the problems you state are related ... moreI travel across the whole south coast and up as far as Worcester so I cover many post codes. As I said I have never had so many dropped calls and I have never considered ever replacing a handset less than half way through a contract ever. What I read online it appears to be the hardware, which is a shame because it's a good device, but I need a phone to work reliably! I have owned a few makes, Sony Ericsson, Apple, Samsung, Motorola, etc. Switched from Apple in January to Google. My Mrs has my old phone with no probs. I have read Sony Experia phones offer exceptional call quality. I don't want to go back to Apple just yet so will stick to Android for the time being. I have to say Android 10 is hardly any different from the old software, so that's a little disappointing as well. Anyway I have decided to Dutch Google phone!
