When it comes to Android, there's no good alternative to Google. And I'm ready to pay more for mid-range processor to get Google top-tier support, updates and camera. Because I don't want to struggle with lags, bugs and other surprises from "better" Xiaomi.

Not every phone out there is competing for flagship specs. Others give that experience using the software. And this is a much affordable method to get straight up Google experience and their camera software.

I think some people miss the point of this phone. It's selling point is not specs & benchmarks for the price, which it gladly sacrifices but still runs fine for most people. It's selling point is the camera and OS support for the price, which outstrips most phones on the market. And it has that headphone jack, a big omission in most phones too. A winner for me.

Snapdragon 670 is mid processor Google selling it price 45000 , Xiaomi or other china brand sells 12000 .

Which company made this serie of google phones? If htc made i will go for it,because htc quality is great and the best but other.....i hope htc made it

A bit late but a good step by google. I'm glad they didn't take the iPhone XR path.
One thing that bugs me though is that nowadays no manufacturer bundles a decent headphone with their phones except for HTC...

you know what, i actually like the "dated" design. i kinda miss bezels and it's nice seeing them again here and there
i really don't know why so many people are triggered by this phone tho
if you don't like it, you have tons of other options
also, Dragontrail sounds WAAAAAY cooler than Gorilla Glass

google succeed by getting popular by giving a good service that everyone can afford it, google fail in smartphone industry is because it doing the same with other brand that just care of profit, not care of the user, and google is still not good in smartphone technology, how they can sell outdated design smartphone with overprice compare to other brand that have better technology in smartphone.
For AI photo have in Pixel, many other brand is doing AI camera, it just wait for a year to take over google Pixel AI camera. iPhone have better video than google pixel now. Huawei can take better low light photo then google pixel now.
it is a shame to google in smartphone which is not google style that always giving that best to the user and this is the strategy bring google to succeed.
