Anonymous, 25 Nov 2023noI bought a used pixel 4 for £80 from cash converters grade B very good condition no scratches however phone call volume is very low. Also if I use the camera at 20 percent battery remaining the battery goes down to 7 percent in less than a minute then phone powers off but if I use the phone at 20 percent without using the camera the phone stays on for about half an hour before powering off. The video quality is very good tho very close to iPhone 12 quality.

This spec doesn't mention the OTG support on the Pixel 4, but it's there and you can connect drives via USB-C

Warning for anyone about to replace only the screen on this phone:
DO NOT buy the LCD with the frame!! It is actually the harder method as this phone has too much individual components you need to remove.
It is easier to buy and replace the LCD only. There are plenty of tutorials on YouTube for this.

I am thinking of buying a secondary phone for media and ott purpose. I am a casual photographer as well. I am thinking of buying a Samsung s10/s10e, lg g8 thinq and pixel 4/4xl. The phone should be handy also. I don't like big phones at all. Please suggest.

I want to express my opinion after using this phone for a long time (daily use).
Actually this phone is good in terms of screen quality, performance, and camera which is not less good with iph1 camera.
But there is one drawback that makes people think twice about buying this phone in 2023, namely the battery problem, which only has a capacity of 2800mah, of course this will make us always carry a power bank or charger when traveling.

Update on my recent purchase:
It's been more than a week with the Renewed Pixel 4. I have it rooted and on the latest Feb 2023 A13 update and it honestly still surprises me at how GOOD this 4 year old device is! SD855 + 6GB RAM, while not blazing fast in today's standards, is fast enough to plow through everyday tasks and activities like a champ.
Battery life is surprisingly the main strongpoint of this phone, which is surprising given its small 2800mAh capacity. After a day of light usage it's still at 79%. Standby time is phenomenal and barely drains when left overnight without charging. Even my OnePlus 7 Pro with 4000mAh capacity can't last that long.
Infrared face unlocking is another thing I've really grown to appreciate with this phone, and the motion sense gestures too.
I've also grown to love the squeeze to unlock feature. I used to be skeptical of such feature, but now having tried it myself, it actually feels very natural to invoke. Sad that this isn't a feature on Pixel phones anymore.
Overall for the $185 I paid, this is seriously a damn good phone! Very reliable, both software, camera, battery and performance wise.
Just make sure you buy one that's either refurbished/renewed or barely used.

Looking back at this phone in 2023
With what I know know
Definitely be more worried about the hardware especially the battery health of there phone is something look out for and 6gb ram capacity really starting show it's age
The thing about software is I been thanking about it a lot
Don't seen like what android version this runs is even going even matter as much as you think
Don't most android emulators run either android 7 or 9 and there still just fine with app developers targeting them and are fully functional and work just fine
So why even worry so much about software updates too much
I just can't see lack of updates being a problem for many years honestly
But shame on Google for ending support for old android version and scarying people into updating too new phone because they think old one stop working
So basically software fine
But Google software support garbage stop releasing new android version ending support for old ones
Battery health and hardware specs are going be the real reasons and problem in the long-run
But the flagship soc honestly be fine for long time it's the limited ram capacity what's the problem and dead battery that be difficult too replace
