To the people who own this phone, do you think the 60hz refresh rate is a bit of a cap if you plan on keeping it for the next 2-3 years? Or do you believe that the refresh rate is just fine and you really don't care?

Check if theres a earphone icon on your status bar to be sure. If not, please ignore this. Haha im just trying to help

Having no luck getting my phones microphone problem fixed, taking forever, Google help line is worthless. My wife is so unhappy she got this phone for me, unable to get it warrantied. Have to be on speaker for callers to hear me, then works ok for a few days, then quits again.

Auto-HDR is a big disappointment for me. Didn't know absolut it before I got it. Coming from 3a I had some expactations. The built quality feels worse, I had more hope regarding the battery. All in all it is a bit meh...

Bought the Pixel 4a last week after a lot of research. While Chinese phones seem attractive with better paper specs and cheaper price - for me the choice was between Samsung (A51) and Pixel 4a finally.
Glad that I chose the Pixel. Awesome screen (441 PPI), fantastic software experience - it is so smooth and intelligent that it is borderline scary :) and of course an awesome camera without the various circles at the back, as with the other phones...just one camera with really helpful software (live exposure and shadow control)
Was worried about the battery, but seems good so far for our normal use...comes to 1+ days easily with one SIM. The optimization algorithms are good as heard on the reviews.
All in all, with the recent reduction in price for the 4a in India, this is a great bet for normal phone users...might not be for hardcore gamers though. We are very happy with the purchase!

How come people repeatedly refer to this as budget when it's around £300, usually more? I'd have thought a second lens or some waterproofing would be possible, maybe even 5 geez.

The Nexus had the GG3 and I used to drop it a lot and finally when the drops were way too much - at one of the 4 corners, the plastic on the phone bent and the glass cracked. So GG3 is practically good for most people, if not all and especially if you go for beers I reckon a decent cover and/or screen Guard

I've recently bought the pixel 4a and noticed the display isn't as white as other displays aka a bit of a yellowish tinge if you hold the 4a and another phone or laptop screen by screen. So wanted to know if this is a faulty one ?
