I like everything about the 4a except no expandable storage via microSD and no 2nd telephoto camera.
Almost perfect for my use. I hope someone can make this phone specs and with the above mentioned 2 additions.

Hopefully GSM areana will do a full review of this phone , seemed a strange amiss not reviewing the 3a .

Sorry, but I don`t see the appeal of this phone. For much less there is other phones, like redmi note 9s which has slightly better soc 720g (was shown in benchmarks), gorilla glass 5 instead of 3, more cameras even if other cameras aren`t that much useful, but 5mp macro is cool to have and it`s not that bad, bigger battery, water-repellant coating, micro sd slot, IPS with hdr10. Of course it doesn`t have amoled, but amoled tend to degrade faster, and drawbacks are that you get not a stock android, worse camera performance and no nfc. But that phone is 150$ cheaper. Does the camera and OS (which byte way MIUI is not that bad now) make you pay more for not that much benefit? This phone looks like iphone in android clothes.

So, my Pixel 3XL is still better in every respect, except for the added 2GB RAM.
I don't understand the idea behind this phone. A good used 3XL is still a better buy than a new 4a.

Finally my wait is over. I am getting this phone. Thanks Google for the 4a. This is anytime better than the others its being compared with.

[deleted post]Good camera, as expected from Pixel, but this is nowhere near as "mature".
No ultrawide, which is personally a deal breaker for me. Small battery for 2020 standards (Minimum should be 4000mAh). Also limited availability if you're outside North America, good luck finding one, and should've been released much earlier.
Also, this "stock Android is best" superiority complex needs to stop.

[deleted post]It isn’t better than either of those, but is a great competitor for the camera and chipset. The iPhone SE has an A13Bionic chipset which is infinitely faster than both the OnePlus Nord’s Snapdragon 765G and the Pixel 4a’s Snapdragon 730G/730. The OnePlus Nord also has a 90hz refresh rate whereas neither the iPhone SE Or Pixel have a display above 60hz. The Pixel 4a has probably the best camera out of these 3 or on par with the iPhone SE, due to the sheer advanced processing ability of Google’s camera app.

You have to follow Qualcomm's bidding. They are the ones that's dictating the bigger cellphone layout due to the chipset module design.
