Excellent body and android 11 . Why no card slot and no jack ? Cameras must improve very much. Price must decrease very much to sell more.

Once again Google disable displayport output in
USB 3.1 Alt-mode on pixel phone's ?
When even Google say:-
"Currently, DisplayPort is the most widely implemented alternate mode, and is used to provide video output on devices that do not have standard-size DisplayPort or HDMI ports, such as smartphones and laptops. All Chromebooks with a USB-C port are required to support DisplayPort alternate mode in Google's hardware requirements for manufacturers. A USB-C multiport adapter converts the device's native video stream to DisplayPort/HDMI/VGA, allowing it to be displayed on an external display, such as a television set or computer monitor.

The only reason i have not been able to buy Google phones is the screen size. Their screen size is too small. how do you bring out 3 versions and none of them is up to 6.9 inch screen. Very disappointing .

Hello.
So, i have to say that most people don't seem to understand that most numbers in AnTuTu are just for show, they don't affect your user experience at all unless you play very demanding games for hours after hours with no pause lol.
And someone else was talking about ram problems on pixel 2 xl, like low ram means constant restarts or something like that. Well it is not the case. I use a phone with 2 gb ram and it never restarts. I even play prety demanding games on it...on low performances but it still works and no restarting.
This thing about giving more and more of everything is just corporatist bulshit. No one will ever use 8 gb ram on a phone. This is just if you want to keep all apps in your phone opened in the background at the same time, in that case i recommand a visit to the psiholog doctor.
I don't see any problems with this phone outside of price. I think it is slightly overpriced and also in my country i can't find it unless i buy from amazon or even more overpriced from a local store.
Only haters and trolls in the comments, lol

I just had mine delivered. All I can really say is disappointed. I’ve been a nexus and pixel fan from the start but this year really is the worst phone they decided to bring to the masses.
The photos still have to processed after the photo is taken because of the lack of the pixel core neural engines missing. This meaning that when you take a photo of what you think looks good, the phone then processes it and it comes back like a different photo more often than not blurry or darker than what you shoot.
STEER WELL CLEAR OF THIS ONE! The

Now that the first reviews are in its obvious that the phone is more than the sum of its parts.
I havent seen a single review where people complained about the processor unless you are heavily involved in gaming, which means the phone will perform just fine for 90% of the user base out there.
Couple that with a camera that is sill among the best even in 2020, a clean UI with timely updates, a great screen, compact size, wireless charging, an extremely good battery life and an aluminium build its actually an absolute no brainer especially if you factor in the Bose headset that you got when preordering the device. Overall the price drops to 400 Euro that way.
Sure you get the likes of Xiaomi, One Plus etc for a similar or better price but none of them will offer the package the Google can offer.
Stop comparing phones based on Antutu scores and check out the phone yourself especially if you are looking for a phone with a compact size.

dave, 14 Oct 2020I am not a Google fan but I would give 100, even 200 Euro m... moreYou don't need a ridiculously overpriced CPU unless 8K recording and gaming is your thing. The Pixel line is about simplicity. Google have started going back to their roots with everything they make. By making an affordable phone that still has water resistance, insanely good cameras for photo or video, easy software, great build quality and real updates, you get a phone that will absolutely make anything else feel overpriced and not worth it.
The best phones to date have been the ones with less tech than others. The Nexus line and even OnePlus line as an example prove big tech doesn't always mean the best. The Nord as an example does almost anything the Note 20 does but costs half.

I am not a Google fan but I would give 100, even 200 Euro more for this device to get it with Snapdragon 865 or even 855. What a pity, that Google didn't want to choose a better solution for it. In this case I have to think about Pixel 5 or iPhone 12 (mini).

Short story I had both pixel 2XL and 3XL my 3 xl got crashed literally then I got oneplus 7 pro, Now my father's Samsung s7 edge just died and I gave him the oneplus and I'm using the pixel 2XL.
After returning to the pixel I got how it's not about the hardware (even that I love how the Google design look and feel different than anything else) it's the most useful phone every thing I do is faster and easier with the pixel as for doing it not the refresh rate of the oneplus not the speed it's beautiful to use a pixel and the 6 inch XL is not small not big just comfortable.
So I pre-ordered the pixel 5 it doesn't have everything but its everything I need flagship camera perfectly sized good hardware with no gimmicks that I don't use, clean fast software with alot of useful day to day stuff I don't play games on my phone thats the Xbox series X I pre-ordered job.
I guess if it had sn865 alot of hate this phone is getting will be gone but the sn765g is not bad is just as if Intel made an i6 processor to be between the i5 and i7.

In the UK:
The Pixel 5 is £599 and the Pixel 4a 5G is £499 both with SD765 + 128GB
The OnePlus 8 is £549 with SD865 + 128GB + £599 with 256GB
The OnePlus Nord is £379 with SD765 + 128GB
So really the Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a 5G are competing with the OnePlus Nord and the Nord is £120 cheaper than the 4a 5G and £220 cheaper than the Pixel 5,
The Pixel 5s only significant advantage over the OnePlus 8 being wireless charging
The Pixel 4a is £349 with SD730 + 128GB so the Nord is in that price category
If Google are ever going to be truly successful with there Pixel phones they need to start be ultra aggressive with there prices and specifications

The comments on here are gold
Comparing Pixel 5 to other cheaper/similar priced Androids - show me one that will get immediate OS and security updates, guaranteed for the next 3 years? That's what you're paying for.
Comparing to unreleased iPhone 12 mini - 12 mini is £100 more expensive in the UK, and I believe down to personal choice as different OS.
And people saying the Pixel 5 camera is trash before seeing reviews...what makes you think that Google has dropped the ball here? They have all of the photo and camera data from all the Pixels that have been sold and taken photos, as well as phones that use Google Photos: they know what the people actually want and use, not what fanboys claim, and as such I'm sure it will be fire.

Pixel 5 is a ridiculous phone, priced well above its worth, the Nord and many others with similar or better specs are half its price. As for screen size, bring on the iphone mini 5.4" and will cost less than the Pixel 5 and has a better HDR and AI camera software ecology than the Pixel 5 Gcam update. Google pick your socks up and release an up to date phone/camera if you going to charge twice the price of its competitors. The Iphone Mini screen, camera, A14 SoC (5nm) and overall quality feel just put the Pixel 5 to shame, its an embarrassment. No wonder they cant crack the top sales figures. Release your industrial designers and native droid is worse than Oxygen OS so release your UX designers too.
