Let me say what everyone is thinking.Snapdragon mid tier Soc,ufs 2.1 storage,90hz screen.This is a mediocre flagship phone.

So, will the video be like the Pixel 3 with an awful "Auto fps" when shooting in 1080, or can we MANUALLY choose higher frame frame rates, like we could with the Pixel 2? I won't make the jump from the 3 unless I can choose 60fps or greater manually.

Socks, 01 Oct 20204000mAh is probably fine specially for a phone this size, s... moreScreen and processor of Pixel 5 are not power hungry like flagship devices and don't forget the top notch software optimization of Google. So I am aslo quite positive that 4000 mAh would be enough.

Though Pixel 5 seems a bit pricey considering the spec sheet but it is appealing in its on way. Nice compact sized body, looks good, camera would be fantastic, good screen, battery life would be good considering the software optimization, a lot of positive points actually. No other Android phone would come closer to this in terms of bloatware free user interface. If not a heavy gamer then this seems a wonderful device. I hardly play games on my OP 6T and it is working buttery smooth even after 2 years. Not sure if Google will launch it in India.

Go get your chinese phone but don't come back to cry about the poor reliability, bad warranty if any, the software bugs, the bad updates, the ads and maybe even your bank account wiped or your private pics published if your luck is below average.

I think Google nailed it with very balanced spec.
For those comparing with Xiaomi one plus etc, the warranty & device fail rate has to be considered. One plus having major issues with their screens with 1 out of 3 phones reporting faults.
I bought new Xiaomi mi9 9 months ago & suddenly just burnt, original £45 charger bought seperate burnt, my car charger & cable burnt still using it on wireless charger but i won't be buying Xiaomi anymore.
For £600 we also getting QC 2 which cost minimum 200.
Yes it will be 500 by Christmas & 400 by summer next year but also pixel 6 would be coming in same price range

The best solution is to wait for the price to drop. I can almost guarantee that during Black Friday, the phone will be $600 for sure. Just last May, Google dropped the price of their baseline Pixel 4 from $800 to $500, which is a huge drop. If they can drop the pixel down to $600 or less, that's a deal to me.

I don't get how a cheaper chinese phone is better . Most have subpar cameras and little to no updates. And the overall is skin is not as smooth from my interactions with them . Most people buying a pixel care about 2 things more then anything else camera and software .
