I think Google nailed it with very balanced spec.
For those comparing with Xiaomi one plus etc, the warranty & device fail rate has to be considered. One plus having major issues with their screens with 1 out of 3 phones reporting faults.
I bought new Xiaomi mi9 9 months ago & suddenly just burnt, original £45 charger bought seperate burnt, my car charger & cable burnt still using it on wireless charger but i won't be buying Xiaomi anymore.
For £600 we also getting QC 2 which cost minimum 200.
Yes it will be 500 by Christmas & 400 by summer next year but also pixel 6 would be coming in same price range

The best solution is to wait for the price to drop. I can almost guarantee that during Black Friday, the phone will be $600 for sure. Just last May, Google dropped the price of their baseline Pixel 4 from $800 to $500, which is a huge drop. If they can drop the pixel down to $600 or less, that's a deal to me.

I don't get how a cheaper chinese phone is better . Most have subpar cameras and little to no updates. And the overall is skin is not as smooth from my interactions with them . Most people buying a pixel care about 2 things more then anything else camera and software .

Too pricey. Ultrawide camera instead of telephoto is a downgrade. Snapdragon 765G for 650 euros is a bad value. Main sensor is the same from Pixel 2 and simillar to Pixel 1. Except aperture, autofocus, software & stabilisation updates, they need to make serious change in main sensor if they want to completely dominate smartphone camera industry. Just imagine Samsung's HM1 108MP or Omnivision's 48MP OV48C sensor with their Gcam software! It would be nutz!

I'm so much looking for the comparisons with the iPhone 12 mini. Both phones with a great small form factor.
This is a great year for people like me who waited for smaller phones to finally reappear, been using my current phone for 4 years now, time to upgrade.

Holy Moly! They managed to cram a 4k Battery inside of a device this small? I can only imagine how great the battery life will be on this. This seems like a really great phone overall, I also really love it's compact size, compact phones need to make a big comeback, I don't want to carry around a tablet in my pocket.
