It's all about software and from what I saw Pixel has impressive image stacking. I rather have one brilliant camera than one useful and four useless sensors. I should know since I use a Redmi and it has useless cameras.

I have been using Pixel one for 4 years, sadly now it's dying. The trouble is I want to wait for Pixel 5 because I really want a fingerprint unlock instead of face unlock, but I don't think the Grandpa in my hand would last even a month now.. FML

Probably not. Treat your phone like your laptop & your good to go, making IP certs an unnecessary cost + "consumer feature".
IP certified communication devices have been around since 1989 and was used primarily for industrial and milspecs. It has only become popular recently because someone decided that it's a "selling point" to increase profits. Unless your military, work in a refinery, oil rig, chem plant, you don't need it.

Cant help but feel that i might just hold onto my small big screened flagship 3 another year.
looks and feels great, is glass and similar in many aspects. easily goes the day and nice looking. i want to want the 5 though but will see. totally love pixel but this year feels like a fill in.
The previous renders with the half circle was delightfully different. The 4 is gorgeous, i would not have abandoned it.. simply tweak the innovations

I've always felt the video recording is pretty solid now that they mic issue has been resolved.
