Anonymous, 19 Apr 2022Imagine actually paying money for a Chinese phone. Hilariou... moreWell my mates Oppo Find x2 Pro absolutely wipes the floor with my pixel 6 pro, only area it doesn't is possibly video recording quality... And same battery endurance.

My P40 pro beats it literally in every aspect including picture taking (bigger sensors, wider ultrawide and a proper periscope x5 with stability, the 6 pro has x4 normal telephoto with no stability). I even get IR face unlock with P40 pro, I get really slow and unresponsive fingerprint with 6 pro and no face unlock.

Screen is honestly no different and I'd say more enjoyable on the p40 pro, just clearer to view (1200p vs 1440p on pixel) and refresh rate from 90-120 is honestly not noticeable and I'd say the p40 pro has a smoother experience when viewing than pixel 6 pro, just seems better optimised and handles the higher refresh better. (plus pixel 6 pro has an LTPO screen with lower clocked a76 cores on a more efficient cpu die, gets worse endurance rating... How?!)

You must be a 'merica lover... YeeeeHaaaaaa!

Anonymous, 22 Apr 2022What about the display and eye care? I see pwm usage, how y... moreTerrible, it overly serpias everything like an iPhone and it can't be reduced enough to be acceptable for the eyes (going in to the settings to reduce eye care etc, on max it makes the screen just brown). Plus the auto brightness just doesn't work so you'll have to manually adjust brightness all the time.

Rasmus, 23 Apr 2022All I can say is One of the best phones I have ever used. P... moreMine takes 2-4 hours to charge on a 40w charger (does about 40% in 2 hours, been like this since recent update) has atleast 1 ui problem where the ui keeps crashing and fingerprint sensor doesn't show plus notifications and notifications switches have no text and I can't interact with anything until the device is reset, this isn't a one off problem.

It used to have built in false weather info as in I'd have ultra accurate GPS with UWB but the built In weather app in the pixel search bar thing at the top of the homescreen would constantly show the wrong place for weather, even if you open the weather app up it'll give you wrong locations. No way to set a default location either.

Also a problem which if you're listening to music on headphones but have to answer a call, the phone decides "once the call is done you can't hear music through headphones unless you activate Google assistant or reset your phone". This happens everytime. It also takes it considerable time to connect to Bluetooth headphones or WiFi, half the time I have to open the settings to select the WiFi or headphones it should automatically connect to (told it to in settings, no other phone or tablet or even TV has these problems).

Oh and the phone can't record video without getting to a heat level I've never felt in a phone before (literally just hold on to a radiator) , plus the mic for recording now mostly plays static noise or can't hold audio if moving/zooming.

Finger print sensor is still very unresponsive and slow (can take up to 4 seconds to unlock with thumb held on the sensor), battery life seems about 10% worse than when I got it too and that was in January of this year.

Phone sometimes decides not to charge when plugged In and straight up refuses to work with certain cables/chargers.

THIS IS ABOUT HALF OF A LIST OF PROBLEMS that make the pixel 6 pro the most infuriating, buggy mess of a device I've used in YEARS. Honestly this is the fallout 76 or cyberpunk 2077 of the phone world, AVOID IT AT ALL COSTS!!! (Unless you just want a constantly infuriating time with aimless and random problems continously happening which have no fix)

Also this Device still has no face unlock and its a single sim device that can't even run dual standby with an Esim.

Best phone, it doesn't even come in to the top 20 best phones of 2020. If you made a catagory for 2020 phones and put this in it, not even top 20, not even for a camera catagory would I have it in a top 10 with only x4 zoom telephoto with no stability and smaller sensors than my Huawei P40 pro in all cameras. Hopefully getting rid of it soon and be done with this nightmare device.

Since google pixel come, I always been used them, but now with pixel 6 pro, only problems, I have issues with display, the touch screen is terribly, not to mention the unlock touching witch is the worst ever, when you shoot photos is blocking, system errors, and many others, plus the terrible thing ever is the battery, my old phone is better than the pixel 6 pro, so if you looking to buy a new phone, avoid pixel 6 pro, buy anything but not this one

Where to start...this phone is ok. The main camera is great but thats about where it ends.
I came from a OnePlus 7t pro McLaren and the pixel isn't nearly as intuative.
Simple things like the phone not having a quick mute/ring/vibration switch and having to go through a poor menu system to adjust levels. The type c port not being able to recognise the difference between a set of headphones and an audio adapter so when you switch between the two its either full blast or too quiet (never a problem on OnePlus)
Other simple things like being able to quickly uninstall apps from the home screen instead of having to go through the full settings menu. The glass somehow feeling hollow whenever used.
This isn't a bad phone by any stretch but I would of expected the best from google to outstrip the competition. For me the phone doesn't feel like an upgrade. More of a side step. Performance wise they are almost the same with the pixel maybe being a hair faster but I can barely tell. The punch hole camera is also really annoying after coming from a full screen design.
If you're coming from a mid range phone then this is a good choice. But if I were to have the option I would of gone for something different
