Originally google planned to have Huawei manufacture the phone after the nexus 6p they built. However huewei negotiations fell short and google lost several months and had to ask htc for something they had already in the pipework. Htc then manufactured the pixel 2 while LG handled the pixel 2xl.

Google has zero consistency now
they went from their unique panda design with single camera and uninterrupted front display on the 2 & 3 to this garbage that you can't differentiate from a vivo or galaxy note
the 4a & 5 moved to plastic (good) and had one of the most even bezels and the thickness of said bezels made them look unique
now even though Android 12 is going to be soft and rounded everywhere they're using boxy galaxy note design, lol and return to glass sandwich

If it's only FHD+ on the Pro, then I'm kinda disappointed ngl. The only saving grace of this phone is the design, otherwise it would probably be a very underwhelming phone.

I really hope it's more 19:9 ratio than 20. 20 makes ZERO sense when you're one away from a legitimate aspect ratio.
Either way, I'm putting my money on 2K@120Hz LTPO, Harmon/Kardon speakers, IP68, 4,500mAH battery with 25W wired/18W wireless charging, and still 12MP cameras across the board. If a headphone jack was on board, I'd take it but it won't so the Xperia will still get my money.
