I recently bought this phone as a secondary phone just to try native android. I'm not satisfied with it because of 2 reasons. 1st it drains battery too fast and second it gets so slow at times especially whenever I'm trying to take pictures or delete from Google photos. Important to mention that i didn't try to install any game yet. I think I'm good no more mid range Google phones for me.

New2Pixel, 16 Feb 2023I bought pixel 6a after reading comments here and also came... moreI also spent two months thinking if I should buy this although I had a perfectly working $300 one-year old device. But I got it in the end and I totally "fell in love" with it. It really feels like a lady chance to get a small pure Android phone with great support and a truly tested camera system. On the other hand, the 7a is approaching, so at this point, maybe I'd wait

Booby , 14 Feb 2023You can always backup on a laptop or sd card through a laptopMostly, yes. Plus the cloud if I either don't get home everyday (e. g. trip, holiday) or as an extra possibility. I still feel a bit better with a microSD. But as said, I really have grown to like this phone just from the internet :)

will, 13 Feb 2023i got this one. but samsung is a better experience I see your point. I might go for Samsung too, partially because I still prefer it with a microSD slot. But I consider 6a a nice phone too, just by what I've seen and read about it.

I'm considering this one, but I'm still clinging into the possibility of microSD card (which I know this one doesn't have). I still own a veteran Huawei P8. I'm looking for a phone as reliable as the P8 is.
Isn't there any disadvantage or risk having your data (physically) on the internal storage only? Like if something happens to the main board... But I'm guessing it doesn't have a high chance to happen.

My new 6a is much worse than previous Huawei and Samsung!!! And it is much more expensive! The start button is ok if you don't have a case... The photos are massive and you can only crop them, not resize!!! Keyboard is oversensitive, I manage to put plenty of extra letters when typing, which wasn't a problem with my previous handsets, and is very annoying! In various languages too. I am not happy at all!!! I hate this Google handset and cannot wait when my contract is over!

Great phone so far, ticks all the boxes for me and has not cost the world compared to the so called flag ship devices out there. I am getting used to the size of the 6a though as it is smaller than my last device but I can live with that.

This phone has the option to change the ord... moreIt has traditional 3 buttons navigation as available on Stock Android. No possibility of altering the order as you see on other OS skins.
But Swipe gesture is best. Switch over to that and it's all fine.
