It would've been better for
1.4500Mah battery
2.30 w charger
3.A 12MP main camera with slightly larger pixel size (like iPhone 13 main shooter with 1.8 πm pixels)
4.I missed the headphone jack for the first time in pixel A series
Anyway the phone is a killer and bang for your $449 bucks

I would wait, unless you are a die hard vanilla android and pixel fan.

Pixel 4a launched at $350 with 6GB/128GB and the same cameras. They removed the headphone jack and the best placement for the fingerprint sensor. There's a reason many people don't buy flagship phones and it's not always about price.

Tensor is a solid chip. It might be a generation behind performance wise but it's not bad by any means. In fact, for it to be down just a gen in its first release is quite impressive. But I don't expect you to understand.

Should I get this, or wait until the vanilla S22 is under $500? I do prefer OneUI to stock android. I had the 3a but immediately swapped it for the S10e when it got cheap. But the 3a had a gimped chip. The 6a has a Tesnsor and holds its own against the latest snapdragon.
So, I'm torn about what to do. The S10e has reached the end of its upgrade path. Before the end of the year, I'll have to make a choice.

Such as S20FE which is around 400 USD, and has a higher 120Hz refresh rate screen, a telephoto which the 6a lacks, while the 6a has a glass back... There may be a phone from OnePlus i.e. Nord 2T, which will also have a fast chipset and screen, charging and obviously lacking in the camera department.

Why not with the past 6 pixels before? Also, who said Tensor is bad, it offers great performance, a modest bump over Pixel 5, even just shy of Snapdragon 888. It will be insane value at the 6a's 450 price tag. It's only problem is maybe the battery efficiency, which is safeguarded with the 4800 mAh battery on 6a.
