I hav... moreThe latest Pixel 7/7Pro June 2023 security patch and feature update has enabled VoLTE in additional countries - even those in unsupported ones where the Pixel 7/7Pro were never released. Try updating to the June 2023 security patch and feature update and see if it improves your connectivity issues.

Anonymous, 13 Jun 2023Well, this is the Pixel 7 pro page, so it would follow that... moreYou clearly don't own an S23 series flagship Samsung phone so I understand your hatred for Samsung. As they say, ignorance is bliss. I own both Pixel 7 and S23+ and I have told you the litany of features that Samsung's OneUI can do that Pixels can't but you ignore them because they don't matter? VoLTE and 5G support doesn't matter? That permanent gesture bar wasting space and causing screen burn doesn't matter? Manual network band selection doesn't matter? Combined wifi and mobile data doesn't matter? Black bars in screen sharing doesn't matter? No video out from USB C /Dex mode doesn't matter? I rest my case.

Anonymous, 08 Jun 2023When I read irrelevant and irreverent responses like these ... moreWell, this is the Pixel 7 pro page, so it would follow that most Pixel users (who most for years used Samsung Galaxy phones) tend to regard One UI as one poster said, a "war crime". It is folks such as yourself who paratroop in the middle of Pixel users and start drop-kicking folks on how One UI is great and Pixel sucks. Don't be so thin skinned because Pixel users ( myself for one) truly hate the whole One UI experience and say so. I bought the Pixel 6 pro because it lacks One UI and now I greatly enjoy using Android now. Things just work. It is not great, the battery life is horrible, the curved glass sucks (universal to all Androids), but I never had any performance or reliability issues with my 6 or 7 pro. Go to Samsung page and praise One UI there.

The google pixel 7 pro is the biggest waste of money. I have had mine almost 6 months and I have had nothing but problems. It constantly over heats, I don't receive most of my calls and it freezes up at least once a month. I wish that I never had bought this phone. Google's customer service is worse than the phone. They do not care that your phone acts up and makes it hard to use. So please save your money and look at other products like Apple or Samsung.

dougB, 08 Jun 2023Well, I see everyone but one anonymous guy agrees the floor... moreWhen I read irrelevant and irreverent responses like these which no longer address the main specific arguments and points of discussion as to which system is better or has more advantages vs. disadvantages, when the opposing view can no longer carry on a relevant and valid counter argument with accompanying proof or explanation, then you already know it's an indirect admission of defeat and it's pointless carrying on with the discussion and going down to the fanboy level of argument.

Well, I see everyone but one anonymous guy agrees the floor for One UI is bloatware and the ceiling is malware. That one guy just listed every way he is unable to use a Pixel properly. I guess the childlike icons of One UI makes it easier to use for some.

Wongwatt, 07 Jun 2023That's simply not true, Samsung refuse to implement A+... moreFor you, Samsung is not the 'best of android', but for me and many others, it is. I could cite the many poorly implemented features in Google's Pixel version of android vs. the vastly refined implementations in Samsung's OneUI, but your dislike for Samsung means you'll never appreciate tgem. Don't you just hate the combined wifi and mobile data toggle in Pixels? How about the quick settings that never goes completely down for easy access in Pixels? Or the utter lack of a desktop mode? Or those stupid black bars on your TV when screensharing your 20:9 phone screen on your 16:9 TV or monitor? How about not being able to manually select an LTE or NR band and lock on to it so you do not repeatedly auto connect to the strongest but slowest/most congested network bands? Again, I could go on but it won't matter to you because of your dislike for Samsung. But for the vast majority of people who never owned pixel phones, it is the only android they know of and actually consider it the defacto 'standard' and 'original' android even if Google owns android. As for me, having extensively experienced OneUI, Pixel launcher, EMUI, MIUI ColorOS and iOS (I'm brand agnostic), I can say with 100% confidence OneUI is leaps and bounds way more refined, versatile, more customizable and more feature rich than Google's vision of the way android shouldb be in its Pixel phones.

Anonymous, 07 Jun 2023Who uses Bixby, whatever the heck that piece of malware is?I don't use assistants on my phone - that includes Google assistant and Bixby. But I know a lot of people from both Samsung and Google camps who use them. Personally l have an Echo speaker and I like Alexa because she has a customizable name (you can call her 'computer', 'ziggy' or 'echo') and she sounds a lot more human than Google assistant who you can only call by 'Google'. Again, my point being, someone's useful app is another one's bloatware and vice-versa.

Anonymous, 06 Jun 2023You obviously hate Samsung. You shouldn't because OneU... moreThat's simply not true, Samsung refuse to implement A+B updates, move stuff around in Settings and then bury them and insist on making all the icons look like a children's toy.
It's not just the bloatware apps, it's the hundreds of extra system processes supporting "features" most users don't even know are there let alone use.
Samsung are not the best of Android.

Melville , 07 Jun 2023Guys, anybody from Dubai, UAE who has bought the Pixel 7 Pr... moreBoth the Pixel 7 Pro and Samsung S23 are great choices. If the best camera performance is what you want, (at all costs), get the Pixel. Otherwise, the S23 does well in everything else and while not the best in the camera department, it ranks high up with the best camera phones. Whichever phone you buy though, make sure the phone is SEALED and REALLY brand new, not refurbished. Also, check network compatibility - Pixel phones don't support VoLTE and 5G when used in an unsupported country, and may have missing LTE and NR network bands necessary for the proper operation in your country. If you use a Pixel phone in an unsupported country, be sure you are ready and willing to take the high risk you will not get VoLTE and 5G support at all. Samsung phones tend to be more internationally available so buy one SEALED and BRAND NEW in your country to ensure proper network supoort and guaranteed aftersales support.

Guys, anybody from Dubai, UAE who has bought the Pixel 7 Pro? Google doesn't sell the phone but there are 3rd party resellers who are selling on Amazon etc without a full warranty? Apparently some of these are refurbished phones.
I want to get the P7Pro but definitely not risk getting used/ repaired one. Should I try getting one from US at higher price or should I go for Samsung S23 instead? (I'm upgrading from a Note 8 lol)

Heavy Games, 06 Jun 2023Many of your criticisms are fair.Ok. The Qualcomm Snapdrago... moreI only mentioned Google apps I don't use. Youtube is great, Google maps also. But for some reason I can't remove these Google apps I don't use on my Pixel but they're easily removable or not installed on my Samsung: Google calendar (can't uninstall on Pixel), Google drive, (can't uninstall - no longer free and unlimited for Pixel users), Files by Google (can't uninstall on Pixel - many better alternatives on playstore) , Google TV (can't uninstall on Pixel, Netflix is way better), Pixel tips (Hello? I've read them already, why can't I uninstall it?), Google Voice Recorder (can't uninstall on Pixel - very basic and inferior to Samsung's recorder), Safety app (Who needs this? Can't uninstall on Pixel) , Youtube Music (Can't uninstall on Pixel - Spotify and Amazon Prime is vastly better).

Heavy Games, 06 Jun 2023Many of your criticisms are fair.Ok. The Qualcomm Snapdrago... moreMy Samsung phone's 'object eraser' is actually MUCH FASTER THAN than my agonizingly slow Pixel phone's 'magic eraser'. It's at least as good as or even better than that on the Pixel in removing unwanted objects in the photo. It's the reason why I use it on my phone than pay gor a Google One subscription (or transfer photos from my Samsung to Pixel for free unlimited access to the very slow 'magic eraser').

Anonymous, 05 Jun 2023Very funny. Never had that many apps in any Samsung phone. ... moreMany of your criticisms are fair.Ok. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 absolutely smokes Google Tensor G2 and you can remove a majority of Samsung 'Bloatware' Apps very easily but here comes the problem you haven't acknowledged many amazing google apps Google Photos, Google Maps etc.

Anonymous, 06 Jun 2023Not to mention if you want to change the OS to anything bes... moreYou can install custom ROM on the S23 ultra. Here's one:
https://droidwin.com/how-to-install-beyondrom-custom-rom-on-galaxy-s23-ultra/
But seriously, why would you install one when it's better than what the Pixel offers and is supported with even more (4) android version updates than even Google's Pixels (only 3)?
Just install a custom launcher like Nova prime and you can clone the interface of a Pixel or even an iPhone 14 Pro Max complete with an additional 'dynamic island' app that's vastly even more customizable than what you have on your iphone, if that's what you want? 😁
