That is very important so you do not regret spending the next 4 years crying. after eliminating the operating system you dont like everything else will follow. Depending on your country or region make sure your phone is fully supported by your mobile network. upgradeable OS support is important.

I will be buying a flagship phone for the first time.....which one should I go for?.....I like big screen sizes so Samsung S23+ or Pixel 7 pro or iPhone 14 plus all these are in same price at my region.....which will be good in terms of camera, performance and battery life?.....i will use it for 4 years.

Oddly enough, pixel 7 pro is the most un-andorid device there is. Using it feels like google is trying to be apple. I hate that notifications have too much open/blank space. I hate the keyboard which has that big blank chunk in the bottom that wats too much screen space like an iphone. I hate the quick access panel. A lot of practical things you do in andorid that used to be one stepbprocess hasone or 2 extra step in pixel.
Why?
When you use and switch to any android device even with their original skin, it still feels like you are using android. Thr pixel is the most un-android android device i used.

I kinda love this design even more and love everything about this phone. Price is so damn good and is perfect.

I phone has bad hdr processing. And some photos have greenish tints on some white materials on the photos taken. Oh and very bad night photography with bad colors productivity and the white balance seems to be off sometimes.. the video is good though

I bought pixel 7 pro one month ago. I had before Oneplus 7 for 3 1/2 years. This Pixel is by far the best smartphone I have ever used !! It is the most intelligent one. Highly recommend it !!

Worst phone experience. I ever had and the worst customer service ever
Idon't live in usa, and I bought the phone and shipped it by dhl and the issue made very serious damage
The phone is always out of service and it's hard to make a phone call even the sims are prisviosned and when spoke to customer service they told me to ship the phone and you handle the shipping fees the warranty is only applicable in usa or wait for update
How am I suppose to stay with out a phone for 10 days or to wait for unknown update and its completely thier fault

... moreUnless the raw processor power is put to good use and translates to significantly and noticeably better real world gaming performance and better real life use and finesse compared to snapdragon counterparts, then it is just that - underutilized power with no tangible benefits other than bragging rights to the fastest raw processor power in a mobile phone.
As it is, you don't even feel the bionic processor's advantage in gaming experience and software smoothness compared to similar snapdragon offerings. Sure, it may be faster loading by a second or two for some games but in others games, the top of the line snapdragon outperforms it in loading speed. For what it's worth, the iPhone 14 Pro Max can't even boot faster than the 'lowly' Pixel 7 with a significantly slower processor. (The iPhone 14 Pro Max boots longer by a few seconds).

You do realize that Apple's Bionic SOC is still outperforming Snapdragon SOCs? Now with the SD8gen2, only the GPU lacks behind in Bionic but the CPU is still more efficient and offers more RAW performance.
Gaming overall is far better on Apple compared to Android platform. Games look better, higher resolution, etc...
Not biased, I own multiple platforms and have multiple devices from both. But facts are facts.

Same with Pixel phones. Even though they only have their camera performance/low light photography and pure android experience as their unique selling point, Pixel buyers buy them anyway.

The phone software is a joke. It does not allow 32 bits apps to be installed. Which means you cant install tons of old but gold apps. In addition, 1 tap screen wakeup is ridiculous. It should be 2 or 3 taps.

You can claim the Pixel 7/7Pro have mediocre specs - battery life, processor speed, software experience, screen quality, etc. compared to the most recent flagships, but the CAMERA is definitely NOT one of them. Your old/outdated/obsolete 2018/2019 Huawei P20 lite and P30 are ACTUALLY miles behind the latest Pixel 7/7 Pro phones in terms of low light image quality - for at least the main rear shooter. You were probably viewing the photos in a small phone screen rather than in a 4K HDR computer monitor or 4K HDR TV. Or you were probably comparing thumbnails between the Huawei and Pixels that you don't see just how inferior/terrible the low light images from those Huawei phones are compared to the Pixel 7/7Pro's Night Sight shots.
