OOF, the poor battery endurance numbers confirms all the reports of the 7 Pro having terrible battery life due to some issue with the display? The regular P7 has been reported to be better than the P6 in terms of battery from other reviewers so lets hope that is true....

Idk about Pixel phones theres nothing special about them. This doesn't even make Apple close to being better then Android- Apple sucks. But Google is just being lazy especially with the productions of their phones. Although the specs are actually good, idk if the price is worth it.

I have been using this for about a week now. I get decent battery life, camera is way faster to process than the 6 pro. Speakers are good. The few gripes i have are:
- The screen (rarely) freezes
- The default music app is YT music which is not good when playing locally stored files.
Apart from these gripes, i personally find it good

Got the phone today, spending couple hours playing around some features. However, the Pixel phone does not have notification reminder, for instance if I missed a call or didn't read a message from WhatsApp, email, and Instagram etc, that is no reminder sound for remind I got a message. I had SAMSUNG phone before, if I missed a call or message, I got the reminder sound every 3 mins for remind me...but on Pixel phone does not have this feature or I need to turn on some setting? Anyone know about this????😅

I have come to live with the dirty reality that the best payers get the coziest reviews. I mean, if one were to count on gsmarena to help them get a good device, they would most certainly end up with junk, useless devices. That said, the case with the pixel 7 series is more of a criticism than a review, even when most other brands like the iPhones with the so-called closed echo system cannot offer half of what Google does, but charge so much so they can pay reviewers to say all good things about them. Take it or leave it, the pixel 6 and 7 lineups are the best there is right now, software wise.
I would have contacted Google personally to extort money from them rather than criticise them semantically in the name of review. So much for peasants who are out to impress the blind

Day 1 of ownership update:
In a lot of ways feels inferior to my Mi note 10 (first 108Mpix phone).
-ergonomics are all wrong and the buttons for volume are in the wrong place together with the power button.
- the display will not go dark enough during nighttime, even with extra dim setting
- speak is average and to be honest sounds worse than the mono speaker of my MI note 10
- battery life seems good so far
- for whatever reason the signal reception of the esim is always better than the normal sim (it wasn't the case on my previous phone)
- IT WILL NOT CHARGE WITH MY 30W XIAOMI POWER BRICK AT ALL?!?!! I AM FURIOUS
- the packaging is a joke, it will not include power brick
- it opens apps just as my note 10, not faster
- using the camera even for 2 min makes the phone noticeably hot

What's up with Google running flash sales for Pixel 7 Pro in India? Do they actually expect someone to keep checking their phones and online forums for sale notification, set up alarm at random times, stop doing everything at the mentioned hour and desperately trying to reserve a phone?
Couple that with horrible after sales support of their partner Flipkart, this Pixel launch will turn off most prospective buyers I reckon. Good riddens I'd say. If you're not serious about a market then better not even be present there in the first place. Half baked sales and distribution only gets you an angry and disappointed customer base.

DMX, 19 Oct 2022about the fingerprint sensor, it is optical, you have to tu... moreOptical fingerprint sensors do need light yes, but if you've actually used them you'll know they generate their own light when activated. You can unlock the screen from AoD without a problem which is more or less analogous to the screen being off for most users (ridiculously small battery drain). Besides that it's a far faster scanner than the 6 Pro and while still not quite as quick as ultrasonic sensors, works pretty damn reliably and isn't suceptible to sweat/moisture like capacitive ones are.
People are really scraping the barrel to bash this phone, please do formulate some practical negatives.

Kev, 22 Oct 2022It's got nothing on the SD 8+ Gen 1, I agree with you.... moreyeah samsung's fab is infinitely inferior to tsmc's... As for the AI chip, it's a gimmick at best currently because AI is in its infancy

Kev, 22 Oct 2022It's got nothing on the SD 8+ Gen 1, I agree with you.... moreI used the Pixel 6 pro on an international trip last month and the live translate feature was a game changer. Made it super easy to read text on labels & signs almost instantaneously.
With that being said the battery life wasn't great and there were a couple of other weird quirks (my GPS was slow to update my location). It's a decent device but not the phone of one's dreams

Lido, 23 Oct 2022I share my battery life experience after a week of use:
fr... moreNot the best numbers then, better than the 6 pro though.
My find X5 usually hits 9-12 hours SoT with 24 hours use since last charge and that's YouTube with BT headphones or BT speaker, running 2 5g sims picking 5g on both constantly up, some game emulation (usually game boy advance or DS) and Spotify use, sometimes some amazon video use too at night, this is with a constant 120hz (has no LTPO screen). That's from 80-85% battery to about 15-20% on average.
