It could be great if companies would include water damage into warranty but thats not the case for any company regardless of the brand. Phone aint submarine.
Thus IP rating shouldnt be seriosuly taken as a major feature. Just minor.
Its good to know your phone can withstand few rain drops but anyone would do better if it does not leave its phone when raining on an open place.

Google pixel is nothing just a money bank for them.
Specs aint bad but not for that price,
Even 5 years old phones from several brands had faster charging, bigger batteries and more features too.

I would like to know if the curved screen isn't more prone to breaking compared to a flat screen. I owe a mi 9T pro now and it fell many times, but survived every time it fell on the ground.
What is holding me back
1. Curved screen
2. no 512 GB available on European market
3. repairability of the back glass (horror stories when watching repair of back glass on pixel 6 which has the same design)
4. price
5. battery life
6. privacy concerns with google phones.
What are your thoughts. Should I wait for the OnePlus 11 pro?

Any waterproof case for 2 from alliexpress does a lot better job for way less money.

Apart updates Google have nothing else worth the price.
And after 5 years you still end with updated software but old hardware unable to run altest games and other apps.

i change phones every year,except my beloved mate40 pro ,so i think 40 so 3 years of sw support is way enough.after the third year 3 the companies program the update so that the phone starts laging and working worse to make you to buy a new phone so the longer sw support is a two sided sword. since it is time to get a new phone im thinking xiaomi 12s ultra or to try the googlephone
they are still adead if huwei survives americas fe ar of healthy competitiom.
alone the face ulock makes a bi9ig difference. sounds not that big of a thing but i tried s22ultra and s21 ultra and i was + es going crazy. the fceunlock just doesnt wotlk rliabrly
samnsungs face unlock is terrible,witith huawei i didnt have no problem w
ith it, not one , works every time in any codition, and any ation on the phone begins with unlocking it first so it is a very important aspect.

Noone is going to keep this phone for that long as its will get updates.
Motorola Edge 30 ultra for sae price offers way better specs in every aspect.

Use the money you save and buy a new pair of shoes or groceries.
If you don't want any practicality, then go with the Xperia 5 IV.

The Samsung Galaxy Xcover 5 is definitely worth a look
It's a mid range phone but with removable battery
If only Samsung used this design but with flagship spec versions there brand be so much better
If we are talking best overall most powerful smartphone It's probably the the latest gaming smartphone probably the Lenovo legion y90 or Nubia red magic 7 the most extreme monster smartphone today
That's my opinion if you're going pay a 1000 poundish money for a smartphone at least get what you're paying for
With the best hardware inside and highest specs and good cooling as in order too benefit from performance it needs good cooling system too get the maximum performance of a 800 series processor

But Samsung got a long history of problems with battery's and just overpricing there smartphones
I don't say iPhone good apple is just a trash company and brand
When brands like Samsung & Google overpriced smartphones with less than ideal flagship processor and just not well spec
Apple problem is shocking low ram amount and apples processor are good but as apple low quality and lacks cooling the phones have overheating problems so performance suffer
There's a huge list of reasons apple not good from removing everything from there latest phones such as
Headphone jack changer from box SIM card slot
How can apple even call it a phone anymore
Flagship phone are not the best smartphones anymore
The best smartphone in the would are the gaming smartphones such as Lenovo legion or Nubia red magic there basically super flagships

Zenfone 9 and xperia 5 iv are better than this underperforming phone I just feel like Google is using features from other companies and integrating and making people feel that it's their signature feature,Google has never made a thing of their own, they have never made impact in the smartphone industry unlike apple, samsung, Sony, Asus, huawei...
