I'm really interested in how you addicts would react if you had to use a nokia 3310 every day.. although I know very well what the outcome would be..

I charged my 7a on Thursday and then again three days later. How did I achieve this? Simple, I only use it as a communication device, that is to say for making and receiving calls and texts and to take the occasional photo. I don't lay on a couch all day playing games or watching videos, nor spend half the day on social media. If those three aforementioned things are what you use a phone for then buy one with a larger battery or alternativly get out more!

The Samsung A51 has a smaller battery than this and still managed to get a better endurance rating.
Well done Google, you really screwed up the battery life.

Never experienced heat issues, software is reliable as well. As long as it's not marketed as a gaming device, you should look elsewhere if want 2+ tflops and cooled smartphone

Tensor is a rebadged Exynos, as long as Pixel phones continue to use it, expect heat problems and mediocre battery performance.
Everything else is decent: stock Android without preinstalled bloat, excellent cameras, the build.
Maybe Tensor G3 in Pixel 8 will improve, but any chip made by Samsung is inferior to one made by TSMC. I bet even a newer Mediatek Helios would perform better than the Tensor (Exynos).

Anonymous, 28 May 2023For a change, it would be more interesting to read comments... moreI applaud you for saying what the majority of users here are thinking. If people would only do a little research before buying this phone then they would know the plus and minus points of it before buying it. The perfect phone has never been built and never will be because they are built for the masses and not the individual. The 7a only has 128Gb of memory but that is wildly known so why come here later complaining about it? Likewise the charging rate which is capped at 18w. Google must have a reason for that and if you don't like it then don't buy it. For me it is the perfect size and weight for what I want in a phone and has performed flawlessly since buying it which people overlook.
