So you are telling people in this forum you don't care about security and you only need sd card? I guess you never been hacked. I can tell you that until your data is safe you don't care about security but one day will come when your data will be leaked because of old software then your opinion will change.

Many laptops use different types of memory. Many other laptops can still use such cards with an adapter. A car and a motorcycle are used differently. Micro SD card and ROM have different specifications for different applications.

Why have manufacturers stopped using SD cards? Simple, it's all down to money for them. If you are not happy with 128Gb storage then you will pay an extra £60 or more for 256Gb or even more for the 512Gb option. If the only option on the phone you choose is 128Gb then they hope you will subscribe to their online storage. It is the same with the headphone jack, why include one when they can charge you extra £80 for a set of buds.

I fail to understand why so many place such importance on arbitrary concepts like software updates instead of important objects like headphone jack and microSD card and obviously a TSCM made chip.

If a consumer chooses some other brand to Pixel 7a just because it lacks 3.5mm audio jack, will it not amount to lost opportunity and lost sales of Google. What's wrong if it has one? A genuine reply would be appreciated.

anonymous, 19 May 2023+++++++++++. Please report trollers talking non sense about... moreNo, microSD cards are not outdated. They are still widely used as a convenient way to expand storage capacity in many devices, including smartphones, cameras, and tablets. However, some newer devices may not include a microSD card slot and instead rely solely on internal storage or cloud-based storage options. The 3.5 mm audio jack, also known as the headphone jack, is becoming less common in newer devices such as smartphones, which are increasingly using wireless audio solutions. However, it is still present in many other devices such as laptops, desktop computers, and some audio equipment. Additionally, many people still use wired headphones and speakers that require a 3.5 mm jack. So while it is not as widely used as it once was, the 3.5 mm jack is not yet considered completely outdated.

Again, it's a good phone, but it gets hot and the lack of an aux jack is a bit annoying.
