I really love it and its unique design but I'm pretty pissed that 7a will have 8GB of RAM and faster charging lol. Is anyone else keeping their 6a despite the RAM upgrade in 7a? Grr.

The battery on my 6a is better than my previous S21 Plus. I wanted to move down in size and cost; and I'm super happy with my 6a. Had it for 3 months now..

              Lies, lies and lies.
Most YouTubers lie about Pixel phones. Maybe they get paid for it.
The Pixel phone was great when it featured the Snapdragon processor. Now with Tensor (which is terrible) I have many issues including battery drain, heating issue (you can iron with it) and leggy performance. And tech-savvy YouTubers say, the AI will learn your pattern and then it work well. Garbage.
I wouldn't waste my money on useless tensor processor again. It's your choice.

[deleted post]Agreed, but some of us just ripped into FLAC or WAV our legacy CDs, sound quality is close to source. Anyway, I've never had more than 20gb of music stored on a phone

                          snk4ever, 04 May 2023Probably the size, weight and price.Unfortunately it is almost the same weight as the Pixel 7 :( 7a = 193 , regular 7 = 197 grams.
Very dissapointing, this a-device should have been noticably smaller and lighter than the normal line.

Let's also wait and see whether the 64mp camera is as big as GSMarena claims.

Super Android 22, 05 May 2023Cloud storage, you can get about 30-50gb free with each com... moreLmaooo. Dude, I have 220GB of music, 78GB of photos and videos, 37.5GB of apps and games, and various other files including system. All in all that's 78.1GB internal, 322GB external. 400.1GB total. I could not use a phone without expandable storage if it didn't have atleast 512GB internal, and even that I wouldn't be able to use forever. My library is ever expanding. To get cloud storage that could store it all, would be 139$ a year for 2TB via Google drive, as that's what they offer. Granted, other providers exist, but I prefer Google's offering as it integrates with Google photos. I payed 90$ for my SanDisk Extreme Pro 512GB microSD card. I don't care what you think about how SD cards are slow, or outdated, or whatever. Fact of the matter is they're fast enough to record 4K video, fast enough to play back 4K video, fast enough to listen to lossless audio, and fast enough to browse media through. Through my internet connection which averages are 200Mb/s down and 10Mb/s up, that would be a lot slower than my microSD card. Not to mention I'd need data to access it outside the house, which adds more cost. I'm not paying 140$/year + 80$ a month for a data plan that could support my needs. Just not interested. Use cloud storage all you want, I've got no problem with that. But don't tell me that a clearly inferior solution is fine, and I wasn't going to fill up my internal storage anyways, because that's clearly not the case. There's a reason people like me love LG and Sony phones. No other phone is gonna let you store your media library on them. If I got an S23 (which I may add, would cost 5x more than I got my V60 for), I would top out at 256GB of storage, lose a headphone jack, lose expandable storage, have a smaller screen. Or, for an extra 200$, I could get a 256GB Xperia 1 IV with expandable storage and a headphone jack, and a large screen. For me, phones without expandable storage will never be adequate.

Why it was impossible to make a phone without memory?

D Daniel, 03 May 2023It's first wireless charging phone but why not giving ... moreTo be fair to google i dont think any company gives a wireless charger in the box (might include one in certain deals though). The only reason i use my huawei wireless charger is its a stand up charger so i can use it still/watch things while charging, wired charging is far more efficent, battery heats up way less aswell.

Nikojas, 04 May 2023Pricing now leaked. £499 UK / 509 euros Yet pixel 7 is on ... moreNeither really but if you have to then the pixel 7, its just slightly better in almost all aspects (all the little improvments add up).

Personally I'd go last years flagships, you can get the likes of oppo find x5 pro with 256gb storage for under £500 now, wipes the floor with both devices (my x5 wipes the floor with the 6/6pro and i should know, i owned the 6 pro).

If you're a samsung fan then a galaxy s22+ will also cost just under £500 (only 128gb stotage though) if you want smaller then s22, xiaomi 12s go for about £450 or less. If you want a pixel (no idea why you would but still) then go pixel 6 pro, under £500 and it wins in everything that matters.

Dont pay attention to GSMarena giving pixels awards like the "premium phones of the year", i listened to their false information, got a pixel 6 pro (they made it seem like it was the best thing since sliced bread) and it was the 3rd worst phone ive ever used, just behind the sony xperia z1 and the EE rooke. Pixels arent good or premium, build quality is always awful and their whole premise is "our phones are ran by a.i. which improves your device over time"... it doesnt.
