Google Pixel 7a stars in live photos, more specs confirmed

Ro, 11 March 2023

As it's usually the case with Google's products, leaks often reveal the entirety of the devices months before release. The next mid-range Pixel phone, the 7a, will likely arrive just before summer as the Pixel 6a was announced in May last year, but we already have plenty of info on it.

The latest leak comes with live photos of the alleged 7a along with some specs. The tipster cites a 6.1-inch, 1080p, 90Hz OLED panel, Google's Tensor G2 SoC (the flagship chipset for 2022) and UFS 3.1 storage.

The camera setup on the back consists of a 64MP Sony IMX787 main camera coupled with a 12MP ultrawide one. The former will likely pose a significant upgrade over the Pixel 6a's 12.2MP unit.

Perhaps the most interesting bit is that the phone is tipped to support basic 5W wireless charging. With a proper ultrawide, potent SoC and wireless charging in the mid-range segment, the Pixel 7a shapes up to be a great all-rounder, as long as the price is right, of course.

6, me too.

ofcourse not, Telephotos are super expensive to manufacture. you're not gonna see one on a $450 smartphone.

those devices Samsung makes are also updated for only 2 years, have poor cameras, and poor performance. the only things the A series has is a decent ish display and long battery life.
