ishreal, 16 Mar 2023so you and the 5 people who buy Sony phones? 6, me too.

Anonymous, 14 Mar 2023No telephoto?ofcourse not, Telephotos are super expensive to manufacture. you're not gonna see one on a $450 smartphone.

FoxNym, 12 Mar 2023Humongous bezels! The a lineup is totally getting cancelled... morethose devices Samsung makes are also updated for only 2 years, have poor cameras, and poor performance. the only things the A series has is a decent ish display and long battery life.

Anonymous, 13 Mar 2023Those bezels, I can'tNormal people don't care about it. If anything, it gives more room for better screen protection. Try doing that with curved screen.

It's a cheap Android phone you'll find at the dollar store. If you want flagship features and build quality, you guys need to look elsewhere, like your local Apple store.

                  Those bezels, I can't

The problem with Google is that reliability has always been a gamble. On paper, they are fantastic devices but more often than not, when you buy and use one of their devices, you will either have a good experience (Pixel 7 series) or face at least a few issues (pretty much every other Pixel model ever made?)

Pixel 'a' aims to give the best android/camera experience at the price point they usually sell and I'm happy with that. I know I'm not getting the best thing in the market, but it's not a pushover either.

I don't even care if the screen only has 60Hz because I still recommend the Pixel A phones to any average consumer who only cares about having the best point-and-shoot camera performance on a smartphone that costs no more than $500. If popular sellout influencers can dismiss the iPhone SE/14's 60Hz screen, they should do the same with Android.

Really was hoping for dual-sim (with the 2nd sim being a physical insert). But if they can keep the price down to $449 may consider it. Does anyone have any recommendation on Motorola with dual sim?

Humongous bezels! The a lineup is totally getting cancelled after this. Also, Samsung makes 120 hz phones for like 200 bucks! What the hell is wrong with google?

That is one thicc bezel. Midrange or not, that's borderline unacceptable in 2023.

Based on my experience with the incredibly buggy, slow and unstable Pixel 5a, if Google wants me to use the 7a they'll need to pay *me*, not the other way around

Broke my Pixel 4a and had to get something quick - company gave me an iPhone 14 (standard) - in all honest some things I miss but the form factor and perf - even with the higher price have me questioning will I go back to these oversized Pixel devices. The devices are getting uglier and larger when the competition actually isn't bad. I did NOT use an iOS phone device (had an iPad) until this Pixel 4a had an issue - I can honestly say it's not as bad I thought once I got used to how Apple does things on the launcher/ui/etc.

Clearly - if Pixel is still not gaining volume that they said they would over time I have to question if they can see the field from the trees to fix their roadmap/devices/design, etc. Disappointed in Google
