I have a basic daily use of my phone. I bought a pixel 5 recently for 160$. I don't see in which way the pixel 8 is a game changing phone, even for the specs. Only the price is a massive update.

Nice looking phone compared pixel 7.. But it should have been 145mm X 70mm size (which will be 6" range). Easy for one handed use.

Expensive. Specs are standards today, 120Hz display and tons of ram is common. 128 Gig storage is a minimum. The charging speed, even if you're not looking for ultra fast, is a shame.Camera must be astonishing I guess, but if you're just looking for a more than decent cam you'll find all of it for half the price. Pixel's 6, 7 and 8 are juste the same iterations of overpriced phones at launch date.

I thought it would be great if they use new camera sensors across the board. And finally........ I'm very very very very happy that they almost evend out the bezels all around the display. 7 years of security and version updates and upgrades with feature drops is a dare move nice work #Teampixel

Pixel 8 is smaller than Pixel 4a 5g. Seems like a reasonable size, considering also more rounded corners compared to Pixel 7.

Please just make enough room for a minimum 5000mah battery! That would be an absolute game changer! Why such tiny batteries Google!?

Anonymous, 07 Sep 2023No SD card, audio jack, not for me.if you want micro sd and headphone jack go buy one of these cheap ass under 300$ phones, theres plenty.

I had a Pixel 4 with face ID. And small size of the phone which was perfect. Now the Pixels have gone down a totally unclear path for me. I was a big pixel fan, after which they disappointed me.

And I'm not even talking crazy fast 120W charging. If Google could squeeze in just 45W charging I would already be very happy. But alas it's not 45W. Not even 33W.

Pixel 7 amazing but doesn't have a useable fingerprint scanner ,I see the 8 has exactly the same one fitted , pointless phone.

going back to my Huawei P30 pro

I would buy the pixel 8 with pixel 7 specs and an updated fingerprint sensor which is completely useless.

Anonymous, 03 Oct 2023So what would you buy then.? So many options in that price range and even lower. Get an S23 for 700 even 650 sometimes, one plus 11, two come to mind
I would look at phones with 8gen 2 so great proc. Then choose one you prefer or camera, ios, design.
With 8gen2 you can't go wrong.
Or wait soon coming 8gen3, can be great too.
If you really like pixel take one anyway, it works, just, it's not great at all to me.
Tensor are even worse than Exynos with their AI nonsense drainer with ridiculous AI services made to improve Google stuff, not yours.but again, many users are into that, not my thing to pay a lot and use my battery to help Google.

People who complain about exynos say pixels are great.
I tried pixel, sent back on first day. Even supposed stock android, horrible. Buggy all the way, laggy, not configurable, full of non desactivable spyware ( android intelligence and other kind of "AI" services), bad battery life ( mostly because of tensor).
Also cameras, I don't like pixels treatments, dull and overly sharp, I know I'll get some hate here, but it's my pov.
It's just the brands, and an expensive one. that's about it.
