Samsung battery fa... moreSamsung cam better - depends on which model, and what's the definition of being better?
Samsung also got AI - What do you do with it, is it actually a big thing for average people?
Samsung battery faaar better - I don't think so
On Samsung you can customize ANYTHING once you can think about it, you can do it, either normal setting, developer option or goodlock app
- You can only customize within Samsung settings. But you can't customize up to the level of pixels with custom rom (you can hardly flash a custom rom on samsung)
Samsung way faster - Subjective.
Sammy got small bloatware - How small?
Google is nice, free of bloatware - It still have google bloatware
Them both well built but Sammy way better - You don't make a good argument.
Google may have improved but I only advice you buy it if you find it way cheaper - Nobody is going to listen to your crappy advice.

In my country pakistan. Pixel and samsung.
Used both s21 ultra and using pixel 8 pro. S21 lying in drawer.
Pixel 8 pro
1. Pixel camera is way better. Big sensors.
2. Parts are rearly available and are expensive.
3. Good software, fast updates.
4. Excellent built quality.
5. Price to product ratio after few discounts. Even cheaper i must say.
Samsung.
1. Main camera sucks. (Chked s22 ultra too). Using very tiny and cheap sensors.
2. Parts are available. Equally expensive.
3. Good software, good optimization.
4. Telephoto is a charm.
5. Very expensive. Not price to product ratio.

WorkingClassMan, 06 Dec 2024Hi all Pixel 8 pro users, I'm deciding between the 23... morePixel 8 pro is your phone, Samsung s23 ultra cannot be compared to Pixel 8 pro at all, especially in the camera. Technology is bought: if you like it, go and buy it, don't wonder and don't make comparisons, it won't last forever! If you are a fan of one of the two phones, go and get it, don't wonder! Pixel 8 pro, in my opinion, is the absolutely perfect phone! But everyone decides for themselves! The most important thing is to be alive and healthy!

I'm deciding between the 23... morePixel screen brighter
Has skin temp thermometer
Has 7yr updates
Sammy charges faster Has better battery tho
Has 4 or 5 yr updates
Sammy got ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, faster and works anywhere but you gotta put a hole in your screen protector or no protector at all for the fingerprint
Google uses optical, it's good, but
Will shine excess light at your eyes when using it at night because it takes a photo of your finger.
Sammy won't do that
Honestly Sammy's better

Hi all Pixel 8 pro users,
I'm deciding between the 23+ and Pixel 8 Pro. Both devices are around $400 in the used market, and I intend to buy a used one. My main priorities are night photos, portrait mode, and good selfies (this is a must). Of course, fast speed and a good display are also on my priority list.
So far the reviews I've read, this is what I found,
For pixel 8 pro-
1. long term software support,
2. good daylight camera
Against pixel 8 pro
1. AI (I hate all the AI features)
2. Google's home screen
for S23+
1. really fast speed
2. Good selfie camera
Against S23+
1. Shorter software support than pixel
After watching and reading the reviews, I'm even more confused. What are your guys' opinions on Pixel 8 Pro's night photography and selfies (also night selfies)? I wanna know from the actual users, people who buy the phones to use it, not to review it. Also, any other reasons you choose to buy the Pixel 8 pro instead of other phones? If anything I should be concerned about before buying 8Pro?
(I'll also ask the same question on Pixel 8 pro's comment section)
TIA
