I mean, i was aiming to swap my oneplus 10 for this but how can i go back from 80w to 27W? Wow, how is this possible to be so far behind on this critical aspect?

Now my Motorola edge 40 pro came with 125W charger in the box. When i will go for a new phone in 2 years i wouldnt swap my phone for naything slower by charging speeds than i have now.
        Faster is always better because you ahve time for many else compared to being prisoner of your own phone waiting to charge.

            So with 27W google charging speeds which will be 18W at average and almost 5000 mAh battery it will take maybe 2-3 hours which in 2023 is unreliale and painfull.
            People must hate them self a lot to buy this and then wait eons to charge the battery.
            Bet even google founders dont use google phone but something like Metavertu.

              Because average charging speed will be around 18W.

                  Last thing anybody wants is to end up with a very updated phone by OS and apps but a very outdated Hardware unable to run smoothly without laggs and bugs said updated OS and apps.

The only thing that I love about my pixel 6 pro ove... moreI think my 6 pro was just fully defective, all the updates i did just slowly broke the phone more, to the point its own apps could hardlock the phone or had performance issues and serious overheating (i mean my 6 pro took 4 hours to charge so something was up and would literally reject cables that worked on every other device i owned/partner owned).

                            I got mine 3 months after release and had it for 6 months before i couldnt carry on with just continous, daily, issues.

But the problem with BBK & alm... moreYeah ill be honest, love my x5 (nice seeing another x5 owner haha) but i have noticed times where the phone hasnt been performing as well as it was a couple updates ago. Its not major BUT its the 1st couple times ive seen my device sort of struggle when it really shouldnt of (had mine about 1 year 3 months).

                              You do make very good points and i think if oppo were open to these ideas they would be far more competitive in overseas markets which we need more competition really, that and keeping up with the likes of samsung and apple with longevity of updates/quality ones NOT nerfing devices etc (maybe its been a bad update, will see what happens).

                              For me if the 8 pro has essentially fixed hardware issues from previous generations and have optimised the software side it (in my opinion, maybe i was just very unlucky with the 6 pro and going from very customisable devices to a very refined one isnt my personal cup of tea) the 8 pro will be a seriously good device. I wish you the best with it and hope you really enjoy it. 😊

                                    I was looking at a gringo youtuber and he filtered the possible prices of the 8 pro, the 128 again! part of 1099, shameful if Google pretends that someone is going to buy a hot exynos and so little storage for 1099, don't even think about the 256 that starts from the 1200 shame if googoe makes these prices official taking into account the disadvantages they have such as the load Quick, I hope it is at least 45w at least!!

                                        Super Android 22, 08 Sep 2023You're brave wanting pixel software on any phone, one ... moreI have Oppo Find X5 too. But the problem with BBK & almost all OEMs is software updates that just break the phones bit by bit.

                                        If you buy a new phone just Never update it's kinda crippling, if the software is not polished enough on the first day just don't buy, the way Nothing releases a phone with half baked software & requires update apon purchase.

                                        Google allows bootloader unlocking and escaping the deteriorating software updates & move to Custom ROMs you can Develop yourself & maintain, but most all OEMs especially BBK don't want that meaning you don't really own the phone despite it's superb hardware quality which Google lacks with their mediocre cooling system, slow 27W 2h charging, the lack of superior TSMC snapdragon chipsets, unreliable network...

                                        So my Oppo Find X5 with Samsung fab Snapdragon 888 I can Never update the software or the thermal guards Oppo has put will go 🤯 currently running fine now because it's not updated. Buying the Pixel 8 pro I will immediately install Graphene or Evolution X right away & escape the deteriorating software downgrade after downgrade
