So many specs identical to last years 7a.....what a joke..Google are so lazy...what have they been doing for a full year...just hit the comparison tool on gsmarena between the 2 handsets.embarrassing.Some balls to ask people to pay so much money for an almost identical handset.

People here are very passionate about phones, nerds if you will. It's understandable to be picky. Not to mention the sky high prices we're paying for most of them (phones, that is)... And most users are, probably, from Europe, where Uncle VAT resides... Phones are really expensive these days. It's about money, really. Like most things in life. :( If you go on Reddit, you'll find the same situation. Just buy a phone that makes you happy - there's no such thing as a perfect phone.

I know a lot of people criticize DxOMark, but, from personal experience, I find their scores accurate. If you want good photos, just stay away from Samsung, as of right now.

I kinda think that A55 is better buy, it has 50mp main camera which is no big difference worthy of thinking, and the rest is prolly nuances, 9 core vs 8 core won't make visible speed difference....etc.

Google phones look probably as ugly as Samsung and iPhones, but then again Android is a really ugly (although the best and most functional) OS. Good thing other manufacturers create their own skins for Android, because Google has been making it more ugly and boring looking since Android 5.
This phone in particular looks so uninspired, boring, ugly and depressing, like the other previous Pixel phones, the entire Samsung and iPhone lineup too. I can't believe someone designs such ugly and dull phones and there are people with equally horrible taste and aesthetic sense (or lack thereof) that buy them and thing they look beautiful.

For $500, a person expects to get a slightly different smartphone. The OnePlus Nord 4 looks much more attractive, and the Samsung Galaxy S24 costs $600 on the gray market in some countries. Samsung Galaxy A55 8/128 costs about $300. For some reason, most people complain about the Pixel because Pixels really have problems and it's absurd for Google to release such incomplete smartphones for such a high price. Shame. The fair price of this smartphone is 250 dollars
